After scrolling down the list of articles I figured Teri’s article is very appropriate.

    thanks, Isle! Interesting article. And spot on.

    Interesting.

    However, Rush came along looooooooong before the late 90s.

    MSNBC is, by far, the nastiest cable TV outlet.

    This is precisely why Indy and pb gave up on cable "news."

    And, pb still monitors conservative talk radio, and, it is increasingly tame and, often, boring.

    Thanks Ponderer, Like I said, all ya have to do is look over to the left and scroll down to see that most of the articles fit the very thing Teri was describing perfectly, and 90% of them are written by the same person. Is it any wonder why so few people bother posting here?

    I suppose there really is a certain personality type who, as Teri says, thrives on outrage discourse, and as a rule what those people post is not about conveying accurate information or stimulating meaningful discourse.

    Like Teri she says;

    Outrage pushers sidestep the messy nuances of complex political issues in favor of melodrama, misrepresentative exaggeration, mockery, and hyperbolic forecasts of impending doom. Outrage talk is not rational discourse. . . instead, it takes the form of a verbal competition, political theater with a scorecard.”

    Isle, I think we're going to disagree on who posts from the "outrage Industry." I am looking at threads and who posts the most from there. I think the spawn from thread titles is a true key. Responses are responses. Just a thought.

    I gave up on all U.S. news not because it’s nasty, because it’s not news… it’s corporate propaganda.

    Bang on, Indy. Worth repeating.

    I read some of Islander's article (most of which has been obvious for years, btw) and the bad news is Curt is part of the problem...

    "The Outrage Industry is talk radio, cable news shows, and political blogs."

    I have made the point in the past that the SS progressives have been so obnoxious... to use isle's word, outrageous... that no MAGA finds being here enjoyable. What we're left with is po, especially, lying about having MAGA posters here... which there ain't.
