With just over six months until the November general elections, Trump is ahead with 49 percent to Biden's 43 percent, according to a new CNN/SSRS poll conducted April 18-23 and released on Sunday.
Meanwhile, a new Gallup poll released on Friday shows that compared to other presidents at this point in his term, Biden, 81, is the least popular commander-in-chief in the last seven decades.
In all of Gallup's polling history, there has never been a president that has returned to the White House for a second term with approval ratings as low as Biden's. His ranking falls within the button 12 percent of presidential quarters spanning back to 1945.
