What strikes me as significant is that this wouldn't have happened when Nancy was in charge. When Nancy was in charge, GOPs stepped across the aisle from.time to time... but the Dems walked in lockstep. Now?...
The fact that 14 Dems joined with GOPs to denounce the Flatulent Fool is merely symbolic...but that some Dems have taken this first baby step probably don't mean nuthin.
I'm beginning to think that Mike Johnson is a far stronger leader than anyone else in DC, with the possible exception of John Roberts in the Supreme Court. And, if Johnson can keep that small cell of HouseGOP anarchists from destroying his Speakership, he may turn out to be a leader of historic significance.
I am perplexed what this small step toward bipartisanship means to a Good German such as yourself, Curt. You're such a partisan purist. Even this must hurt.

It makes a statement. To answer your question for Ann Arbor, that's all it does. In the case of the border, it "denounced" a policy. Again, a statement. And there's a shot across the bow that the dims are needing to look at.
