Authoritarian autocrats and demagogues eventually fail because virtually all of them, no matter how much power they are able to grasp, are, in the end, shown to be the bunglers that they are, from Stalin, through Hitler through Putin and Trump...
They do, by their very nature “have to surround themselves with people like themselves" who are also incompetent bunglers. Witness the people Trump surrounded himself with, Powell, Giuliani, Bannon, Roger Stone and on and on.
And now Trump’s choice of a Special Master demonstrates once again Trump’s own incompetency. Judge Cannon has no experience whatsoever in dealing with issues like this (do a google search) and it shows. Check out this week’s Teri Kanefield post to get a better understanding of this.
