Let's see if YOU have what it takes to make decisions if you were the President of the United States...
Okay. You're the president of the United States. You've been briefed by several aides and officials that a huge violent mob has amassed at the Capitol and security forces are struggling to keep them from storming and actually entering the Capitol building. So you know that thousands of violent rioters are swarming around the Capitol. You have also been told that they are particularly upset with your vice president because you had been telling them for weeks and even live in person in the moments before they arrived at the Capitol that he might not do what you and they wanted him to in order for you to stay in power. Even though you had been told by all the legal experts and officials that what you wanted him to do was illegal and unconstitutional. Additionally, the "protesters" are only there because you asked them just a few hours before to go there. And now, enraged by demonstrable lies you have told them and how your vice president not going along with you on them, they are like a powder keg ready to explode.
A. Immediately put out a statement by Tweet or press conference calling off your supporters, telling them that any and all violence must stop and everyone should leave the Capitol.
B. Activate the National Guard and any other security forces at your disposal to put down the rebellion and protect the Capitol and all of those within it.
C. Call your vice president to make sure he's safe and to tell him you are doing everything in your power to safeguard the Capitol and his and others' lives.
D. Not only none of the above, but instead Tweet your final indignation and disgust with your vice president because he "didn't have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution" (i.e. Break the law and stop the counting of the votes of a valid and certified election that you know for a fact you lost), causing a surge by the protestors who then overwhelm police, and break into the Capitol screaming and chanting about hanging your vice president, who just narrowly escaped being beset upon by the mob.
