No matter what the truth may be about the economy, there are a few things that people with, common sense, make their judgments on.

One of those is the size of the deficit.

Also, grocery prices and empty shelves. Also, gas prices.

    Actually, we picked up an Rx at Walmart yesterday and bought a few items. BTW, there were empty shelves. Mostly, we bought food but we did buy one other item and were stunned to see that it was made in the USA.

    But, my point remains. The, as you say, dimwitted who vote notice a fee things about the economy. One is the size of the deficit.

    It is illogical and hypocritical to complain about the trade deficit (too many imported goods) then complain about empty shelves (too few imported goods) at Walmart which are caused by supply chain problems mostly because foreign ships are unable to unload.

    Estimates are that Chinese suppliers make up 70-80 percent of Walmart's merchandise, leaving less than 20 percent for American-made products.
