MAJOR CONFLICT
The major conflict is between Creon and Antigone. Creon say's that the body of Polynices should not be buried properly because he led the army that invaded Thebes, but Antigone wants her brother to be buried the proper way.

RISING ACTION
When the king before Oedipus is found and killed the disease will be gone.
Antigone decides to not listen to Creon's orders and buries her brother. Creon tries to make Oedipus return to Thebes.

|
CLIMAX
Oedipus finds out that he
is the man responsible for the disease that has stricken Thebes.
After it is to late, Creon decides to forgive Antigone for not listening to his orders and burying her brother.

FALLING ACTION
Oedipus’s learns of his identity as the man who killed his father and slept with his mother. When Creon locks Antigone away in prison, she kills herself.
