People who say they are voting for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are probably low-information voters.

Along with about 200 local residents I went to Sen. Merkley's town hall at Ashland High School Sunday. Sen. Merkley makes a point to visit every Oregon county (there are 36) and conducts a town hall in each one annually.

Each person who hoped to ask a question was given a raffle ticket with a number which were drawn randomly. About two dozen citizens had a question to ask him had their numbers called. The ranged from local issues to international issues. He spent a few minutes answering each question. He promised to look into some of the more arcane issues asked.

The senator shared a January 6th story. He said his senate office is close to the senate chambers. The rioters bashed down his office door using a display case of congressional memorabilia as battering ram. He said his door was unlocked.
