Fascism and extremism vs. a lack of values and becoming weak
Democrats overwhelmingly said teaching children to treat others as you would want to be treated, the "Golden Rule," is the most important value to teach children. That was followed farther back by "education being the key to success" and "be happy and follow your dreams."

Democrats are most concerned about a rise in extremism and fascism, topping everything else by a wide margin.

Republicans, on the other hand, said instilling children with faith in God, teaching them that hard work and discipline pay off, and to abide by the "Golden Rule" were most important.

Their biggest concerns for the country were a lack of values and becoming weak as a nation.

Trump's trials have worn down Republicans, as more of them are viewing the former president as having done something wrong
Fewer than half of respondents said they're following Trump's New York hush money trial closely, but with the Republican primary over and Trump's continued legal troubles, a majority of Republicans now say they believe Trump has done something wrong, whether that's something unethical or illegal.

The number of Republicans saying Trump has done something unethical has jumped 12 points since February, from 34% to 46%. Still, only 8% of Republicans think he's done something illegal, compared to almost half of respondents overall (47%).

A whopping 77% overall think Trump has done something illegal or at least unethical, and a majority believes the investigations into his conduct are fair.

There are big shifts since 2020 along age, race and educational lines
When looking at the presidential election, Biden and Trump remain in a virtual tie among registered voters, with 50% for Biden and 48% for Trump. Among people who say they are "definitely voting" in November, Biden's lead expands out to 5 points, 52%-47%. The survey shows Biden is doing better with groups that say they're likely or definitely voting — older voters and college-educated whites, in particular.

    Ahhhhhhhhhhh, NPR!!!!!

Actually, as I'm sure you know. This is often discussed on Fox News.

There's a high degree of confidence that Trump will win...

...if GOPs turn out the vote.

I think you're convoluting "unethical" and "illegal." Unethical? yeah, renting a hooker isn't a smart idea. Unethical? sure. Illegal? Maybe, except that isn't a charge in this case so it's a moot point. Asking for and receiving an NDA? NO. "stormy" violating the NDA in a contract? YES. Just as it would be if you signed an NDA with your company and violating it.

So while there are many that believe you shouldn't hire a hooker if you're married, the state of NY isn't charging him with that. They're saying it's consensual sex between two adults. If they don't say that, "stormy" goes to jail, and they're not going to do that.

I'm asking you yet again. You want him charged for J6? Charge that or STFU. Better yet, just say that you've been bullshitting your way through this and you don't have anything else to charge him with.

    OD,
    As I have opined previously
I am one Democrat who is quite happy with the pace of Trump's trials. Even if Trump manages to avoid a conviction in his current trial, he is damaged goods. There is no hung jury in the court of public opinion. Plus I love seeing RNC money being spent of Trump's legal expenses instead of campaigns for president and other offices.

Most people, including some Republican voters, realize that wrongdoing includes illegal, unethical and immoral behavior. A criminal conviction is not required to know that somebody is a dishonorable person or as HtS says a "despicable" person.

I don't know about your wife, but my wife would be very unhappy if I paid a porn star $130K to keep quiet about my adulterous sexual exploits. My wife wouldn't be much happier if I paid a porn star hush money who I didn't have sex with. I suspect a lot female voters take a dim view of Trump's unethical, immoral but not necessarily illegal activities.

Incidentally, you keep bringing it up, but Trump has not been charged with any of the violent and destructive activity of January 6th.

Megyn Kelly, who's a lawyer and a gifted journo, and astute on legal issues on the level of pb's Three Legal Goobers, says that, depending on the instructions the judge gives the jury, Trump may beat the NY case. Wouldn't that be a hoot!!!!!?

    Still,...

As a fellow supporter of the Former Truck Driver, I hope that you are right. ASUFUTIMAEHAEHFUTBW!

What gets me is a few things...

    1. How fast the GOP went from the party of "family values" to the party of defending adulterous candidates paying off porn stars for sex while the sleazebag's wife is home taking care of their newborn.

    2. How those same GOPers believe a jury of Trump fanboys finding him "not guilty" is somehow morally equivalent to mushroom dick never sleeping with whores in the first place (while the wife is busy changing diapers at home and wondering how $130,000.00 disappeared from their bank account).

    3. How the most religious of the GOP are the ones defending Trump the most vociferously. See: Peebs.

    🤔
