I watched all or part of NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox shows.

Two reasons:

1. The most prominent surrogate that I saw, was DELAWARE Senator Chris Coons. No one of stature among the DC powerbroker elite showed up for Joe. Mostly it was campaign workers or lawyers. As of Sunday Morning, Joe's swingin in the breeze.

2. Even among the surrogates and defenders, there was minimal defense of the President. Mostly they made the case for Biden by saying, essentially, Trump is despicable, which is true but that doesn't mean that Joe's brain still works.

Bad news for Joe. Bad, bad news.

Peebs... have you considered there might not be any Democrats of stature left to defend Joe? 🤔

  2. by HatetheSwamp on February 12, 2024 6:56 am

As time goes on, Indy, I'm becoming increasingly convinced that no Dems of stature support the Doddering Old Fool. I think that it's probable that the 020's equivalents of the Dem Smoke Filled room are abuzz with frantic and desperate conversations about what the h@ng we do now.

One fact that I think is notable is that, in the early hours of the Hur/Press Conference disaster, Dan Goldman... the prominent Dem mouthpiece on immigration and Mayorkas... did his usual Dem propaganda schtick supporting the Flatulent Fool. Since then, as far as I can tell?... nuthin. I certainly didn't see him on Sunday. If he's still beatin the drum for Joe, someone provide the links.

They got a real problem imho - they tried to bring him out to defend his mental acuity and it backfired. So the idea of him out on the campaign trail is going to be met with a lot of resistance. If they put him back in his crypt basement like in '20 - hoping they can skate by on "at least he's not Trump" emotions - they run a huge risk of the Ds on the fence abandoning ship again like they did with Hillary.

I will predict that, if "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" is heading the Dem ticket in November, the GOPs will win both Houses of Congress. Dems will jettison Joe before that happens.

  5. by Indy! on February 12, 2024 9:31 am

If the Ds are going to do that (if they could find the balls to do it) - they better do it quick because the clock is ticking. The one thing they have in their favor in that respect is Trump has to deal with his court cases, so he's tied up too.

Did you see that RFKJ ad during the Super Bowl?

  7. by Indy! on February 12, 2024 6:42 pm

Only saw a little bit of the Super Bowl. Had to clear out my bedroom so they could tile it today.
