The latest aggregate of polls has Trump leading by 17.5% over Nikki Haley. The two most recent polls without DeSantis have Trump up +19 and +27.

Despite what the polls indicate, I predict that Haley will close that gap, possibly finishing within single digits of Trump. It will be close enough for her to fight another day...in South Carolina.

    Right-wing media is increasingly comfortable predicting a significant victory for Trump.

    Donna and I figured long ago that Halley would be the final one standing up against Trump. She'd actually have a good chance of beating Biden. Much better chance than Trump will end up having. Ergo, we hope Trump gets the GOMP nomination.

    If we are hoping, I hope Trump gets Covid and dies. I may get an assist on that hope from Trump's lawyer.

    Alina Habba also said she had been exposed to Covid during a visit to her parents; she said she had tested negative but was still feeling symptoms. In court, she sat unmasked next to the former president.

    The only problem, Curt, with Trump dropping dead of Covid or a heart attack or from choking on a Big Mac is that the MAGA Hats will simply never accept that he wasn't really assassinated by the Swamp Democratic Deep State Cabal acting on Biden's direct orders.

    Still though, it's admittedly a lovely thing to hope for...

    Curt predicted that Trump'd win by 9. pb said 13.

    With 91% of the vote in, it's at 11.4. Pretty much split the difference.

    No question Nikki Haley overperformed and Donald Trump underperformed. I haven’t had a chance to see it yet, but I heard that Donald Trump was anything but a happy warrior in his “victory speech”. He was cranky and annoyed, which does my schadenfreude heart good.

    Even though I won’t be voting for Nikki Haley, I have offered her a campaign this suggestion for a new campaign slogan: Don’t be picky, vote for Nikki.

    I don't think so, though I think she ran well. Wouldn't you just love to watch a Veep debate between Nikki and Kammy? Baha!

    Remember, two weeks ago there were a few polls that had Nikki in the low single digits. There'd been some momentum and pb could have seen her eeking this'ne out.

    Trump ran a good campaign in New Hampshire after the Iowa caucuses. He reversed the momentum...

    ...and, pb has to say... the on-air people at Fox News who are MAGAs had been biting their tongues, except Hannity... but they've come out in recent weeks. My guess is that that helped Trump.

    I'm sticking with Nikki until shown otherwise. If the sheep have their way, and trumpster gets assassinated the GOP needs a strong second. Ron did what he was told, and will take the stage after trumpster gets elected the second time. Nikki is looking at the long game. I'm okay with that.
