Ever wonder why we northern progressives are so happy healthy and wise?

It's because we are self sufficient, know how to live right, and we enjoy life to the fullest !!

When it snows...We celebrate the crisp clean air that follows the storm. The skies are that Arctic blue and first thing in the morning we get to go out and get plenty of exercise and fresh air doing just what I did this a.m. in the photo 😀

In the spring we celebrate life by planting our vegetable gardens and flowers.

We can and do look forward to summer, not the oppressive heat and humidity of the southern summers, but rather those delightful New England summers !!

In the Autumn we harvest our crops and enjoy the spectacular fall colors !!

Basically...We progressives are progressives because we are the happiest people on earth ! And we have good reason to be !! 🍻

Ashland, Oregon! The way life should be!

Here the snow is polite. It rarely falls in town on our streets and driveways. Nobody needs snow-blowers here. Snow limits itself to falling on our local mountains including Mount Ashland which is in sight from my house.

Ashlanders can often ski or snowshoe then put on shorts and a t-shirt to run, bike or play tennis all in the same day.

Making life in sweeter is the fact that down-hill skiing is free for people 70+ like me!

we went for a swim in the outdoor pool. And had the three year old find the moon. This was after he rode his bike. In shorts and a T-Rex t-shirt. I miss snow also. I've lived and worked at 10,000', winter climbed, glacier climbed, watched it come in, ride in it. But family is more important.

We've visited Maine a number of times. It's a world unto itself.

But, gang. Eagle Pass, TX! Since "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" placed his hand on the Bible, people from all over the world have been rushing to get there!

Gotta say that we couldn't be happier with Tucson and this gorgeous weather. Yeah the summers are really hot. But we have found it to be quite survivable and a small price to pay for the gorgeous weather and fresh air the rest of the year.

But what am I saying??? We're crazy! The summers here really are horrific. You really don't want to move here. Everyone hates it here. Nobody else should ever move here. They'd hate it. It's way too hot! They'll be miserable and hate it so much! Lots of places in Texas are WAY nicer and far more clement. Everyone should move there instead of Tucson. My god, they have so much empty space in Texas and are always so welcoming to new arrivals!

I gotta go with Hate on this one. Eagle Pass, TX is the place to be! Yeah! That's the ticket!

Having lived in the south, VA, NC, and FL. I was able to experience true heat and humidity that seemed to be never ending; there was no break from it throughout the never-ending summer. While we can certainly experience some cold days and nights when the temps drop into single numbers and below zero, we do have relatively comfortable days much more often than we have those really cold days.

Of course…What we consider “relatively Comfortable” 35 to 45 degrees F might not feel comfortable to someone living in the tropics !! LoL !!

I’ve never really experienced the hot dry weather of Tucson, but I do know that it is the humidity of the southeast that I found unbearable so I suspect that 108 ° dry heat might feel more comfortable than 90° with a dew point of 81° !!
