The Constitution is quite clear about it though, od. His engagement in insurrectionist actions, and his giving aid and comfort to others engaged in insurrection, makes him ineligible to hold the office. So whether he's on the ballot or not, he can't take the position even if he is elected in one of his famous landslides.
And what a kerfuffle and caterwauling shall ensue should that situation confront us.
