They reported the facts of the situation. There was no laughing or any whooping it up that I saw, if that's what you were expecting. This was recognized as the dumpster fire that it is for the Republicans. That it was something they entirely brought on themselves and this country. That the Republicans have once again hurled this country's government into another historical first in chaos. That at this point, the Democrats intend to in no way assist McCarthy or the Republicans get out of the mess they've put themselves in. They did spend a great deal of time on the subject. I suppose because other than for Trump's gag order, it was a pretty slow news day.


By the way, Bill. You don't have to keep pretending that you don't watch Fox and making excuses for when you do. You can knock it off with all this, "I don't usually listen to so and so, but they said..." nonsense.

If you're doing that in order that we don't think less of you, you can stop all this ridiculous play acting. It's not possible for us to think any less of you than we already do.

I do want to mention though that the fact that you at least subconsciously know how mendacious and horrible Fox is and feel this sense of shame whenever you do fall prey to old habits and tune in is a very good sign that there just might be a glimmer of hope for you after all. But we probably shouldn't celebrate too soon. Such moments of mental clarity are rare occurrences for you and they don't often last long.
