Shane Murnan — who performs as “Shantel Mandalay” when in high heels and makeup — was tapped as John Glenn Elementary School’s top administrator in Oklahoma City in June, according to Fox News.

The outlet reported that Murnan was charged with possession of child pornography more than 20 years ago — but the case was dismissed because it couldn’t be proven that the images depicted minors.

The Sooner State’s head of public school education, Shane Walters, ripped district officials for the hire this week and demanded that Murman be sacked.

District officials have resisted the backlash against Murnan, asserting that they endorse his leadership.

...the principal maintained a separate Facebook account under the Mandalay moniker that presented him in drag.

Murnan, who participates in local drag queen story-reading events to kids...

Dressed as a drag queen, Murnan has read books to children to celebrate Pride for the Metropolitan Library System.

This is a close one for ol pb. But, then, as things go, pb, increasingly, is a moderate.

It's the questionable porn, even if it may not have been illegal, and, especially, the drag queen story hour stuff...

pb's point in posting this is to document the increasing impact of pb's three-headed monster in American culture, i.e.,

1. Old-school Title IX feminists,
2. Anti-TQ LGB groups and activists, and,
3. po's "fascistic and disgusting" "MAGA Republican" "Christian theocrats," or, mommies and daddies and nannas and pappaps who merely want to raise their kids without government intrusion.

pb'll try to track this. Heck. Even GAG hasn't mentioned it yet.

I'm sick to death with Conservatives wiping their asses with the First Amendment to foist their hatred and bigotry on society.

  4. by HatetheSwamp on September 10, 2023 3:44 am

Which part of the First Amendment applies?

  5. by HatetheSwamp on September 10, 2023 3:46 am

Oh, and, po. Oli London ain't a conservative. Oli's one of them there radical anti-TQ LGB activists.

Pardon me, Bill... Conservatives and their allies.

Thanks. I certainly shouldn't have left them out.

    Three-headed monster, po. Three-headed monster.

The Three-headed monster that is destroying the woke trans political agenda and trans ideology.

It's as Chicago sang, Feelin Stronger Every Day. Baha.

Yes yes... I am sure we will all be rounded up and tossed into re-education camps before the end of Trump's third term as president. I am so terrified.

"I'm still waiting for you to splain how that Okie drag queen elementary school principal's First Amendment rights were abused.

    At your leisure..."
-Hate, from another thread where he brought this up as obfuscation because he was getting his ass kicked in that thread so badly.

Well, Bill. As I never said that his First Amendment rights were abused, I feel no compunction over ignoring your request.

I will however offer an opinion:

As his drag queen activities are in no way illegal or even unethical, and have nothing whatsoever to do with his job as a principal and are not brought onto the school grounds (neither of your linked articles suggested that they were), he has an excellent case of wrongful termination if he is fired simply for his entirely legal off-campus activities. This is a public school we are talking about. Not a private religious one.

And I would think that more grievous than his First Amendment rights being violated, I would think that the equal protection under the law provisions of the Fourteenth Amendment would be the greater violation and ammunition for a lawsuit here.

    Again, merely my opinion.

Hate wrote: ”All of us are, by nature, people of both head and heart.”

But some people can be and are more objective than others, and then there are some like yourself who, as you have been telling us for years, believe that subjectivity is truth.

The description of yourself in post #36, is steeped in and saturated with your own subjectivity. Unfortunately, you seem completely and utterly unable to see it.

This is why your perception of what Teri wrote is so distorted. You said you read it and saw Teri as, in your own words, ”Teri’s a wacko. That's her problem.” and you claim her post is nothing but propaganda.

Teri did a very good job of pointing out the errors in the questions that have been asked on her blog site.

    For example;
“The rich and powerful can just run out the clock using the court system. What’s to prevent Trump from playing a similar game?”

If you want to deny the right to appeal to rich white men you will also have to deny the right to appeal to everyone else. Are you sure you want to do that? ~ Teri

Except in your mind, that’s not a wacko response nor is it as you claim propaganda.

The questions she posted and answered, and the claims made in some of them have been discussed in the news, editorials, and opinion pieces, and some even here on this board, and Teri responded to them in an intelligent, knowledgeable, and thoughtful manner.

It is only in your subjective mind that she is a wacko spreading propaganda...However...I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if you believed you were being “objective” in your perceptions of the questions asked and Teri’s replies.

    po,

Then splain what you meant by this:

I'm sick to death with Conservatives wiping their asses with the First Amendment to foist their hatred and bigotry on society....#3

  13. by Ponderer on September 12, 2023 7:51 am

It meant exactly what I said. I am sick to death with Conservatives wiping their asses with the First Amendment to foist their hatred and bigotry on society. Not just in this case, but in a cavalcade of instances. I could make that my signature in this forum, if we still had signatures at the bottom of our posts.

I didn't say that this wasn't about First Amendment rights. I didn't say what I said in post #3 as having only to do with this one specific case. Maybe you missed this part of my post where I said, "And I would think that more grievous than his First Amendment rights being violated, I would think that the equal protection under the law provisions of the Fourteenth Amendment would be the greater violation and ammunition for a lawsuit here.

I was implying that while to some extent his First Amendment rights are very well being violated if action is taken against him, equal protection under the law by the Fourteenth Amendment seems to be the far greater abuse of rights to me.

Glad I could clear up your confusion for you there, Bill.

    👍

It meant exactly what I said. I am sick to death with Conservatives wiping their asses with the First Amendment to foist their hatred and bigotry on society.

But, po. It's extreme speech that the First Amendment protects. What you call the wiping of the derriere is precisely what practicing First Amendment liberty is.

Still, how does the First Amendment come into play here at all?
