You must be so disappointed! In a three-page update filed in federal court in Wilmington, Del., Mr. Weiss laid out plans to bring charges related to Mr. Biden’s purchase of a pistol in 2018, when prosecutors say he lied on a federal form by stating that he was not using drugs at the time. It also references the separately filed misdemeanor tax case brought by prosecutors early this year.

It's difficult to tie Joe Biden into any of that.

  2. by Curt_Anderson on September 6, 2023 6:17 pm
    This guy is disappointed.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-K.Y.) criticized special counsel David Weiss after the prosecutor said he would seek to indict Hunter Biden on a gun charge by the end of September, saying the charge is the “least of all the crimes” that Biden has committed.

"House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-K.Y.) criticized special counsel David Weiss after the prosecutor said he would seek to indict Hunter Biden on a gun charge by the end of September, saying the charge is the “least of all the crimes” that Biden has committed."

Yeah well there's that pesky thing about there needing to be some sort of evidence of a crime having been committed before you can charge someone for one.

So it sounds like they can get some parole violating firearms charge or other on Hunter and some tax evasion. These are not earth-shattering charges, but I am sure that they are at least enough to impeach Joe Biden with.

    🙄

  4. by HatetheSwamp on September 7, 2023 7:29 am

Watch the video. GOP Judge Jeanine and Dem UM law school grad Harold Ford agree that Hunter probably can't be indicted on the gun charge. If the corrupt Special Counsel does indict on the gun charge, apparently, the charge will be thrown out by the Judge...or should be.

So, is this merely the filthy Biden DOJ doing some fancy footwork to clear Joe's Lil Boy of all charges?

You're the constitutional scholar, po. Fill us in.

  5. by Curt_Anderson on September 7, 2023 8:01 am
    HtS,
You don’t need to be a constitutional scholar or have a law degree to know this is a nothing burger.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal appeals court has ruled that drug users shouldn’t automatically be banned from having guns, marking the latest sign of upheaval in the nation’s firearm legal landscape and raising questions about a law cited in the case against Hunter Biden.

As for that misdemeanor tax charge, House Republicans seem to believe that underpaying your federal income taxes is patriotic. That’s why they’re always in favor of cutting the IRS budget.

  6. by HatetheSwamp on September 7, 2023 8:28 am

The burgerburger is Biden DOJ corruption and its two-tiered justice system.

  7. by Ponderer on September 7, 2023 8:48 am

Yeah, I mean Republicans have made absolutely sure that people with documented mental disabilities are able to buy guns. So then why can't people who take drugs also acquire them?

  8. by HatetheSwamp on September 7, 2023 8:59 am

    po,

Hunter's legal problem is that he lied.

  9. by Ponderer on September 7, 2023 9:09 am

Yeah. Fine. Charge him for it then. If he violated the law, I am quite in favor of him being charged and tried for it. Have at it. Knock yourselves out.

  10. by HatetheSwamp on September 7, 2023 9:16 am

Bang on, po. That should have been a no-brainer from the beginning. The issue...and this is where impeachment comes in...is why Hunter wasn't charged YEARS ago...

...because logic suggests to ol pb that "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" had his thumb on the scales of justice...

...and, that, at the very least is a High Misdemeanor.

  11. by Curt_Anderson on September 7, 2023 9:24 am
This seems to be turning out to be a win-win! Joe Biden will continue to be unscathed by any of his son’s misdeeds. Hunter Biden will probably get off with a slap on the wrist. The MAGAverse will be able to play victim and complain about a two-tiered justice system.

  12. by HatetheSwamp on September 7, 2023 9:35 am

That's not what I'm hearing from Kevin McCarthy, James Comer and Jim Jordan...and Nancy Mace and Byron Donalds, et.al.,...

...who hold all the cards as far as Impeachment is concerned. Hunter may get his wrist slapped by the DOJ but this FARA GOP obsession ain't being ameliorate by what the DOJ's fixin to do.

Bill, the people you listen to were ready to impeach Obama for a "terrorist fist bump" and wearing a tan suit.

  14. by Ponderer on September 7, 2023 3:19 pm

By the way, Bill. What do you think was the reason that Trump didn't go after Hunter when the GOP held all the power in our government?

    Go after?

Just curious. Who did Trump go after period?

  18. by Ponderer on September 7, 2023 5:24 pm

    "Go after?" -Hate

Go after. You are unfamiliar with those two words ever being used together in that order? Go after, Bill. Like he's going after Hunter and Joe now, only while he was still president with a GOP congress and pulling all the Justice Department's strings. Why didn't he sic Barr on the Bidens when he had the chance and Barr would have likely done it for him? You never wondered that yourself, Bill?

  19. by HatetheSwamp on September 7, 2023 5:35 pm

Just curious. Who else did Trump sic Barr on?

  20. by HatetheSwamp on September 8, 2023 3:44 am

BTW, gang, here's pb's Legal Goober #2 on the gun law at stake in the potential indictment and what Hunter's attorney did that may be putting the Flatulent's son in legal jeopardy.

"Just curious. Who else did Trump sic Barr on?" -Hate

Well there was Robert Mueller and his report. Trump got Barr to flat out ignore the at least ten actionable crimes that Trump committed that were in Mueller's report and declare the whole thing a nothing burger. And now many of the actionable crimes pointed out in the report and ignored by Barr are ending up as indictments under Garland and Smith.

By the way, Bill. What do you think was the reason that Trump didn't go after Hunter when the GOP held all the power in our government?

    "Yes, sir. Right away, sir.
    Whatever you say, sir..."

And also, I am so glad you don't watch Fox anymore. Good on you, Bill!

    🙄

  24. by HatetheSwamp on September 8, 2023 8:01 am

I don't watch Fox. I get nearly all of my information from YouTube.

  25. by Ponderer on September 8, 2023 8:28 am

Fox videos on Youtube. Right. I'm fully aware of that. You depend on Youtube to render down Fox bullshit into edible morsels for you. So therefore you think you aren't watching Fox.

I absolutely love the absurdly asinine distinctions you lamely cough up in here, Bill.

  26. by HatetheSwamp on September 8, 2023 9:08 am

No. Not at all. You reek paranoia and derangement, po.

YouTube knows I search for video of my three Legal Goobers and it shows them to me.

It also knows that Byron Donalds and Nancy Mace at are quintessential pbGOPs. So, I see them. And, frequently, pass them on for the benefit of people here who love truth.

  27. by Ponderer on September 8, 2023 9:34 am

"YouTube knows I search for video of my three Legal Goobers and it shows them to me."

I see. And Youtube forces you to watch them when you don't watch Fox. Geez that's gotta be rough.

  28. by HatetheSwamp on September 8, 2023 9:55 am

    po,

I value the insight of the three goobers in my Legal Advisory Council. I'll watch them, even when they're on Fox News.

  29. by Ponderer on September 8, 2023 10:17 am

Then stop saying that you don't watch Fox.

Unless you are comfortable being a liar.

  30. by HatetheSwamp on September 8, 2023 10:39 am

I haven't watched the Fox News Channel since the moment of the Tucker fiasco.

BTW...and I've been clear about this...my boycott is of the Fox News Channel, not of every Fox product.

  31. by Ponderer on September 8, 2023 11:37 am

"I haven't watched the Fox News Channel since the moment of the Tucker fiasco." -Hate

As I have said, I absolutely love your absurdly asinine distinctions.

To paraphrase Leslie Gore, "It's my boycott and I'll cry if I want to."

And you let us define our protests??? Whothefuck is it that absconded with and reprogrammed the term "woke" in thefucking first place??? And I'M the sanctimone? You boundlessly hypocritical, flaming bigot!

  34. by HatetheSwamp on September 8, 2023 3:29 pm

    po,

You are a sanctimone. You've demonstrated you holier-than-thouness hundreds of times on SS!

  35. by Ponderer on September 8, 2023 5:01 pm

And you've demonstrated that you are an asshole right here today.
