It ain't working.
Two problems for the GOPs:
1. Very little of the Tea Party passion that gave the GOPs their historic drubbing of The ONE and his minions in 010 exists. Many of those people are now antiSwamp MAGAs and their interests are somewhat similar to, but ultimately different than, the Tea Partiers.
2. The GOP never seriously attempted to serve the interests of the TPers so the TP gang, and the antiSwampers, are increasingly cynical about the GOP, which will almost certainly win the House and probably the Senate too in 022.
