    This must be an example of the compassionate conservativism I keep hearing about. It's the out of sight, out of mind variety of compassion. Republican love to bemoan conditions for immigrant families and children in American facilities while they go through the process to see if they can emigrate.

    Republicans are perfectly happy when those same types of families are stopped before entering the US, forced to live outside in rough and lawless conditions for untold amounts of time as long as they are on the other side the border. That even though the immigrants may not be from Mexico.

    Y'know, Curt, it may be that the last time I actually heard the expression, Compassionate Conservatism, being said, by a GOP anyway, is in 2000 when W was running for President.

    I think that it's long past time that sane members of both parties come together and work out immigration laws that are compassionate and reasonable.

    Having said that, if you think that the chaos that Clouseau is enabling at the border is compassion, you're a fool!
