I didn't.

I was amazed when I checked Truth Social this morning to see the unanimous rave reviews of Trump’s performance and the scathing denunciations of Kaitlan Collins.

My guess is that you progressive SwampLovers, if you watched it, didn't give Trump full marks. And, if you're getting classic progressive SwampMedia coverage, vicious denunciation of our former President.

So, to quote the Bud Light commercial, "Wassup?"

There was a Trump town hall? And he had it on CNN?

    oh. okay.

  2. by Ponderer on May 11, 2023 7:23 am

    Same lies. Nothing different.

Paul Begala probably summed up Trump's "Town Hall Meeting" best!

"But in tonight’s CNN town hall, Trump told us who the real victim of this era is: Donald Trump.

From the opening question to his last comment, Trump whined, griped and complained. It was an airing of grievances that will doubtless thrill his MAGA base, but may well motivate anti-Trump voters just as much. And there’s little indication he did enough to win over independent voters.

This was vintage Trump: whining about the election he lost, grumbling about being indicted in New York, moaning about the jury that found him liable for the civil offense of sexual abuse and defamation. He used the first-person pronoun in nearly every sentence, sounding like a tenor warming up for the opera: “Me, me, me, me, meeeeee.”

And, isle, you watched and agree?

  5. by Curt_Anderson on May 11, 2023 9:21 am
I watched it. The fact checkers could’ve saved themselves a lot of time and typing if instead of noting every falsehood Trump spoke instead noted the infrequent times he spoke the truth.

The audience were Republican voters, who mostly voted for Trump. They gleefully sided with Trump over E. Jean Carroll. They cheered Trump’s suggestion to break up immigrant families. They applauded Trump making an equivalency between Putin and Ukraine. They liked the idea of America not paying its debts.

Yet we are not supposed to call these people “deplorable”.

    Interesting.

The only clips I've seen came from right-wing sources. Even those didn't impress me personally.

But, Clay and Buck are saying Trump hit a home run, but not a grand slam.

It'll be intestesting to see head to head polling against Clouseau once this settles in.

    FYI:

Trump drew 3.3 million to CNN on Wednesday 9:00 EDT. On Thursday?, that same timeslot? 500 thousand.

Trump bumped CNN times 6.6!!!!! And, they're STILL complaining.

Has anyone ever noticed how many people actually pay to go see something unusual, basically for the entertainment value it can provide! Remember the carnival tents with the wild-man from Borneo or the bearded lady? Not that you’d ever vote for them to be president!

Trump is an entertainer just like them.

Be as sanctimonious as you like. I despise Trump. I support Ron DeSantis for President. But, if you don't think Trump just generated votes from the Town Hall...

...well, I make that a question. Do you think Trump generated votes from the Town Hall?

  11. by HatetheSwamp on May 13, 2023 10:02 am

Here's CNN Town Hall analysis from the Lincoln Project's Rick Wilson who's, apparently, a graduate of pondy's school of political effin analysis.

Baha baha baha bahahahahahahahahahaha baha baha.

BTW, apart from the eff bombs, I agree.

    Sadly.

He may have generated a few votes but he lost (and will lose) more than he gained. These senators know.

"Where do I begin?" Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.) told reporters when asked why he wouldn't support Trump in the primary. "Republicans are in a winning mood. We want to win. We know he's the shortest path to losing."
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), asked about Trump teasing pardons for a "large portion" of the Jan. 6 defendants, responded: "If you're asking me do I think you should pardon the people who engaged in rioting in here, no."
"It looked like a lot of Democratic campaign ads being written last night," said Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), the No. 2 Senate Republican.

    Curt,

These pols are from the pb wing of the Republican Party but, buddy, check out what's going on in right-wing media. As much as it distresses me, I don't think enthusiasm for Trump has ever been this great.

I despise Trump. I support Ron DeSantis for President. But, I think Rick Wilson is effin right! "Wrap that $hit up!"

Sadly, what Trump has on his side is "I told you so." pedojoe is nothing more than a rubber stamp for the leftist swamp creatures to ruin the US. The US can no longer actually fight in a global war with China. Hell, they'd be lucky to fight the Russians and win. But by God, they'd know an a$$load about proper pronouns!

Coal mining country is taking a huge hit also(1). pedojoe closed them down and put that country into a death spiral with no end in sight. This is along side the cleanest forms of energy we were able to have a net gain on the international markets on. So there go the mid-western states. Now we're importing from our enemies. Never a good thing.

All this, and blacks are bailing on him in record numbers(2). They have figured out that the dims are their worst enemies, just like they were after the civil war. Spending money in which the whiteys have access to give out.

And even the dims are figuring out pedojoe is not likely to win(3). The question last time was about Trump. THIS time, it's about pedojoe. Most of the "great legislation" he's done has hurt the middle class. Gas prices are still out of control, he allowed China to buy up millions of acres of farm land for their own use, not ours(4).

I think, in a year, the issues will probably be on the GOPs' side. If you saw CNN's infomercial for Trump, I'm sure you noticed the huge response he got from his "drill baby drill" line. The border. Fentanyl. People hate the SwampMedia and Trump is its primary nemesis. Any GOP will probably be well positioned in 024.
