His lawyers must cringe every time Trump opens his mouth or posts on his TruthSocial. I’m sure they’d be happy to have a judge shut Trump up to protect himself from himself. I’ve seen his lawyers, Joe Tacopina most recently, walking back statements that Trump made.

    Actually THEY did not. Prosecution DID. And was denied (defense was warned, but not gagged).

    And I agree with your premise in this. The use of Trumps mouth is yet another wildcard for defense to worry about.

    I’m glad that we agree OD. Trump’s undisciplined mouth is a problem for any Trump defense attorney. Do you remember Donald Trump attacking Judge Curiel, calling him a Mexican who could not possibly be impartial? Trump’s insults and comments definitely did not help his case. Trump ended up paying $25 million to victims of his trump university scam. The judge was Indiana born Curiel in that case.
