"Republican Juan Ciscomani is the projected winner for Arizona's 6th Congressional District. Despite being regarded as a rising star in his party, however, he could lose his seat to Democrat Kirsten Engel because the GOP-controlled supervisors of Cochise County voted on Monday to delay the certification of the results from the midterm elections despite the Nov. 28 deadline and without evidence of problems with the local counts. The county's decision risks excluding close to 47,000 Arizonans' votes and could eliminate the 38,706 votes cast for Ciscomani, per the county's report logs."

Reminds me of when Arizona Republicans insisted on recounting the 2020 election results and Biden ended up with a net gain of several hundred votes!

    Ha, self owned! Another example of Republicans self owning themselves is in the last election when Donald Trump told his supporters not to vote early or by mail. This also reminds me of what you hear about in fledgling democracies, when one party protests the election by not voting.

    You mean, like the Governor Gov-elect and Secretary of State (Katie Hobbs) not recusing herself because she's also the chief voting administrator? Something like that?

    "As Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake challenges Maricopa County's certification of the 2022 election in court, the chairman of another county is declaring he voted to certify under duress.

    "I found out today that I have no choice but to vote 'Aye' or I will be arrested and charged with a felony," said Ron Gould, chairman of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors.

    Lake's opponent, Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, who is overseeing the election, has threatened felony charges for officials who don't certify the election.

    Hobbs is suing Cochise County, which refused to certify by the Monday deadline."

    I think Hobbs should've recused herself. Btw Brad Raffensperger also didn't recuse himself in the Sec of State election he won in Georgia either.
