Rep. Ted Lieu calls out Jim Jordan For Lying About 10 Year-Old Rape Victim

(Hill Reporter)Considering his history*, Jim Jordan should probably be more delicate when it comes to matters of sexual assault. Instead, the Ohio Republican made it a point this week to call a ten-year-old victim of rape a liar. Jordan deleted his tweet about the incident once it became clear that the child was telling the truth.
If Jordan was smart, he would have realized that deleting the message would only make things worse. During a Thursday hearing, Ted Lieu blasted the Republican for his abhorrent behavior.
The California Democrat told the House:
“You’re going to hear a lot of words from my Republican colleagues. And all I have to do is give you one example that is devastating to their statements. A ten-year-old girl got raped in Ohio and got pregnant. She could not get an abortion, because none of the exceptions in Ohio law would have authorized it. And what did MAGA Republicans do? They smeared her. They said she was lying.”
To be fair to Jim Jordan, he wasn't clear who accused of lying when he said the rape was "a lie". Maybe he meant the victim, maybe he meant the doctors, maybe he meant the Indianapolis Star.
