For me, here in Pennsylvania, this is a big deal.

Trump won big here. He endorsed Oz. I can't imagine Oz winning without Trump's strong support. You may recall that Oz got booed at Trump's Pennsylvania rally. He's got name recognition but he seems to be a weak candidate.

You probably know that the Dem candidate, John Fetterman, who's nearly progressive enough to please Curt, and, if elected, would be Bernie-ish, had a stroke shortly after the Primary, caused by atrial fibrillation. He's had a pacemaker implemented but seems to be recovering very slowly. Dems across the state are starting to murmur.

Of course, this election will be an important cog in determining control of the Senate.

Oz had been leading the polls for at least the month prior to the election. There isn't much evidence that Trump's endorsement was a big help considering he only won after a lengthy recount.

Before the endorsement, Oz had a slim lead in only one poll.

Actually Oz led in nine of the last nine polls taken the month prior. His 2.6% lead evaporated to 0.1% in the final vote count.

Those sort of results may not be enough for some Republican candidates to debase themselves by pledging fealty and subservience to Donald Trump.

    Curt,

I'm a news junkie who lives in Pennsylvania. Trust me on this.

Oz had a slight lead in only one poll, the Susquehanna Poll, before the Trump endorsement. With the endorsement, he immediately jumped into the lead.

Trump's endorsement made the Oz candidacy, not to the degree it made J D Vance's but it's unlikely Oz would have won without Trump.
