President Biden came under fire Thursday for the creation of a “dystopian” disinformation bureau created under his Homeland Security department, which critics are blasting as just a way for the government to police free speech online.
Conservatives slammed the Department of Homeland Security’s Orwellian new “Disinformation Governance Board” – with some suggesting the timing is convenient given Elon Musk vowed to make Twitter a free speech haven after his $44 billion takeover of the social media platform notorious for selectively censoring right-leaning points of view...
The hashtag “Ministry of Truth” was also trending on Twitter as critics compared the new board to George Orwell’s “1984” novel.
“Adolf Hitler had a Ministry of Truth. Joseph Goebbels had a Ministry of Truth. Joseph Stalin had a Ministry of Truth. Joseph Biden has a Ministry of Truth,” tweeted Errol Webber, GOP congressional candidate in California...

The board will be led by Nina Jankowicz – a disinformation expert who has been criticized for repeatedly casting doubt on The Post’s reporting about Hunter Biden’s laptop.
So, say that it's pb's Stage 4 ODS, but pb thinks this is laughable.
If "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap" and his administration had any shame, they'd, at least, cloak the Orwellianism. But, no. This is so obvious...
...and, as I say, laughable.
Apart from laughing, I'll say that this fits in snuggly with the sanctimony endemic among progressives.
To disagree with progressives is to lie or spew disinformation because, with progressives, there's no possibility that an alternate opinion is viable.
pb's been on the receiving end of this on SS dozens of times. It's a normal pattern when dialoging with some, not all, progressives.
Here's the pattern:
The progressive makes a point.
pb disagrees.
The progressive clarifies and repeats.
pb indicates that he still disagrees.
The progressive declares that pb is lying.
pb denies says that he's simply disagreeing.
The progressive: "Go f*ck yourself."
So, the Flatulent Fool is going to groove on labeling alternative views "disinformation." It's typically progressive.
And, well, it's the way it goes among the demented...who have increasing difficulty dealing with life when reality doesn't conform with the little world they're creating.
