The next time you write an article or post a comment look for the words "Easy to copy emojis (beta)". It's directly above the current emojis. The first column has a dozen+ of the new style emojis. Below that list, a link opens a small window with many more emojis.
If it works as I hope it will, you should be able to copy and paste an emoji face or hand just as you would text.

You should see the emoji as an image as you compose your article or comment. More importantly, it should show up in your article or comment. They should show up better size-wise. I don't know if they will work on every browser. 🤞
FYI, these new emojis can be italicized: 😁.
Bolding doesn't seem to do anything.
