Barbados has decided to become a republic, probably at the behest of America.

I probably don't need to point this out, but monarchies consistently deliver better standards of living than neighbouring republics – think Canada vs America, Thailand vs Cambodia, Japan vs Taiwan and Korea, Nordic countries vs the rest of Europe – and yet America still insists on pushing its sin on the world.

Republicanism should at this point be considered a political virus. The omega variant of Puritan Anglo oppression.

Okay, but Canada and Japan aren't monarchies.

Is there really a change in the lives of the people of Barbados from what it's been for 55 years?

On 30 November 1966, Barbados became an independent state and Commonwealth realm with Elizabeth II as Queen of Barbados. In October 2021, Dame Sandra Mason was elected by Parliament to become the first President of Barbados. On 30 November 2021, Mason replaced Queen Elizabeth as head of state, with Barbados transitioning to a republic.

    Curt,
They wouldn't do it if it didn't make a difference. Even if the change is only spiritual it will still have a negative effect on future generations.

Georges - You know (or should know) that the monarchs of Canada and Japan have virtually no power.

    Donna,
I think you're moving the goal posts 🙂
