"Vermont is one of the most vaccinated states in the country and has served as a model for its COVID-19 response throughout the pandemic. But now, the state is experiencing its worst COVID-19 surge yet, with several factors -- including its own success -- to blame, officials said.

In Vermont, nearly 72% of residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 -- more than any other state, according to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data. At the same time, it has the 12th-highest rate of new COVID-19 cases over the last week, state data released Tuesday shows."

You guys know. I'm triple jabbed. I wear a mask everywhere when I'm outside my door.

But, I also know that the vax that so many of you have put your trust in isn't worth much.

I am the only poster here who defends the right of the antivax and vac hesitant.

We still have no idea of the long term side effects of the vax and we know now...and Vermont demonstrates the truth...that being vaxxed ain't worth a lot.

Just for fun, check out how looooooow the COVID rate in Florida!

Obviously people who are vaccinated are more protected from covid-19 than the unvaccinated. So what explains the seeming discrepancy? Vermont is a small state. The small sample size probably leads to statistical anomalies.

Vermont's unvaccinated community may overestimate the herd immunity protection and congregate with each other.

Also politics plays into this. I will pause and allow you to recover from your shock.

There is good reason to believe some states are more accurate in their reporting of covid outbreak than others.

The vaccines are proving not to be nearly as effective as President "Follow the Science" led us to believe.

"Of the 89 total infections, 87 people were fully vaccinated, the nursing home said."

    That's been our experience here

Hate, the link you provided answers your own question about Vermont.

ď Case rates in Vermont residents who are not fully vaccinated are nearly four times higher than fully vaccinated residents, according to state data. Essex County, the least-vaccinated county in the state, is reporting the highest case rates of any county in Vermont, with 1,022 cases per 100,000 people reported from Nov. 2 to 8. In Grand Isle County, which has the highest vaccination rate in the state, that number was 160.

You surely must have missed that part.

Here's something else to think about, suppose 75% of every 100,000 Vermonters were vaccinated. And out of that number, 75,000 were vaccinated. 100 of those vaccinated however become infected, and out of the remaining 25,000 unvaccinated residents, only 84 become infected. Since, as you can see, more vaccinated than unvaccinated people in the state came down with covid Ö would it seem to you that this demonstrates that vaccines are pretty useless? Not to mention that the majority of hospitalizations and deaths across the country are among the unvaccinated.

Yet you and your wife are fully vaccinated??? Three shots even!! If you really believe the stuff you post here, why bother getting a rather useless vaccine that isnít worth much and therefore obviously is not really doing much to help save you, your wife, and your neighbors from a serious illness and possibly even saving other peopleís lives? You honestly donít believe that by getting vaccinated you are not only helping to protect you and your wife, but your neighbors as well? Iím just trying to see how your reasoning works.

If The fellow Hate supports but pretends to despise (Trump) was able to pass an infrastructure bill after promising to do so, the obvious question would be...Why didn't (or couldn't) he?

The fellow Hate REALLY despises (Biden) DID pass an infrastructure bill proving once again to be the better man for the job. Like Obama who pulled us out of the mess Bush created and left him to fix, history is repeating itself as Biden begins pulling us out of the terrible mess Trump created and left for him to fix!
