With a cast of thousands. We really enjoyed it. It was extremely entertaining. Much more so than the game in fact.

At one point we checked in on the anti-Super Bowl Half Time Show and it was some MAGA Hat hick singing about how boys ain't girls and girls ain't boys or some such culture war propagarbage. Whatta hoot!

The Bad Bunny Show was an extravaganza of Puerto Rican culture with elaborate little vignette scenes of Puerto Rican life. At least a couple hundred dancers and performers. Three hundred maybe. And not a white face among them until Lady Gaga did a set.

Bad Bunny's only words in English were as he ended the show with, "I love America!".

I don't think that was Lady Gaga. Of course with face lifts I cannot be sure.

  2. by Indy! on February 8, 2026 7:40 pm

Ummm... yeah Curt that was Lady Gaga. 😂

The half time was a lot better than the game. I wasn't going to watch and clean the house as per usual on Super Bowl Sunday, but got lazy and watched the game instead. I had the Seahawks - the Patriots had a super easy schedule in 2025. They didn't really belong in the SB.

I need to check the aspect ratio on our big screen TV. Lady Gaga looked fuller faced and more zaftig than usual to me.

I cannot imagine the logistical work it took to organize and choreograph Bad Bunny's show. Plus getting that all on and off the field.

  4. by Curt_Anderson on February 8, 2026 8:16 pm
Maybe I was reading too much into Bad Bunny's "I love America!" statement, but I thought he was making the point with all the flags that "America" includes everything from the Canadian Arctic to Tierra del Fuego.

  5. by Indy! on February 8, 2026 8:21 pm

Apparently 15,000 Bad Bunny themed "ICE OUT" towels were handed out to fans on the street as they were walking into the game.

The loser in all of this is the NFL. The last thing it could have wanted was that the big story of the game was dueling halftime shows: One elitist and woke, t'other blue collar and red neck which celebrated the glories beer drinking and lawn mowing.

Speaking for myself, up to last night I'd never seen a Super Bowl halftime show I enjoyed.

    Nuthin changed.

I can't wait to see who Roger Goodell picks next year. It's then we'll know who won this little Culture War.

But, did you notice?, during the first half, how many ads there were, begging viewers to watch Dumb Bunny? Whadahoot!!!!!

  7. by Ponderer on February 9, 2026 7:16 am

The NFL did fine. No harm, no foul.

But given your raging xenophobia, pedophile's bitch, I'm sure you can't be satisfied with that.

Get back to me when all your MAGA Hat friends stop watching pro football.

  8. by Indy! on February 9, 2026 10:11 am

I have no doubt the reason we got Bad Bunny and the most diversified half time show ever is because of the blowback the NFL got last year for removing the BLM stuff from the field because Trump is so think skinned he can't even spend a few moments in a stadium with some words that aren't penned by subservient MAGAts. Goodell is a jackass who needs to keep his hands off the game itself - but he's not an idiot. He can see Trump is persona non grata with most Americans and there's no reason to kiss his ass anymore.

  9. by Ponderer on February 9, 2026 10:25 am

I think you nailed it, Indy!.

The NFL is all about making money. They knew exactly who Bad Bunny is and what he represents. The NFL a very conservative organization and they are betting on Bad Bunny appealing to a larger share of their audience and potential audience. Their data apparently shows that their audience (aka $) is multi-ethnic, inclusive and open minded; in other words not MAGA.

  11. by Donna on February 9, 2026 10:47 am

Trump isn't only persona non grata with most Americans - he's become radioactive for MAGA hopefuls running for office in purple and even some red districts.

  12. by Indy! on February 9, 2026 11:11 am

Remember when Brown Shorts and OD said Disney was dead because they're too woke? Same thing. The NFL wants to be like Disney where everybody loves them, buys NFL stuff for their kids, watch it all the time on 15 different channels and makes a trip or two to a game every year.

HatetheSwamp: "t'other blue collar and red neck which celebrated the glories beer drinking and lawn mowing."

I am blue collar and I resent the association with MAGA. They should be called, "shock collar."

  14. by Ponderer on February 9, 2026 11:18 am

And for every MAGA Hat Cult Member like pedophile's bitch who watched the Kid Schlock Show, seventy-five people watched the Super Bowl halftime show!

Just so you know, pedophile's bitch, that is not an example of an "equitable comparison".

  15. by Ponderer on February 9, 2026 12:18 pm

    So wait a second here...

    • Over 5,000,000 watched Trump's Kid Schlock Show.

    • Over 77,000,000 voted for Trump in 2024.

    • Over 135,000,000 watched the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The midterms in November are gonna be a GOP bloodbath.

    Tell me, AI...

"Did the Puppy Bowl get higher ratings than the TPUSA kid rock show?"

    Yes

Yes, the Puppy Bowl (Puppy Bowl XXII) received higher ratings than the TPUSA kid rock show. According to various sources, the Puppy Bowl reached an average of 12.8 million viewers, while the TPUSA show garnered over 6 million views. Additionally, a YouGov poll indicated that 35% of respondents preferred Bad Bunny's performance over Kid Rock's show, suggesting that the Puppy Bowl had a larger audience and more favorable reception compared to the TPUSA event.

By the way, I always post the exact question in the exact wording I used in the AI search when I post something from it.

  18. by HatetheSwamp on February 9, 2026 2:25 pm

    po,

TPUSA is saying that their show was viewed by 20,000,000+

"TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet and affiliates claimed over 25 million views combining YouTube and Rumble (with suggestions the true reach could be higher due to group viewing or other partners). Some social media/X posts hyped figures like 30 million+ "eyeballs,..."

po, you really need to break your The Rachel addiction. You're walking in darkness. bahaha

  19. by Donna on February 9, 2026 2:40 pm

Okay, but even after adding 25 million viewers to the TPUSA event count, that's still 110 million viewers less than what Bad Bunny drew.

Thus is where you should give up and move on to another topic to argue about.

  20. by Ponderer on February 9, 2026 2:42 pm

Plus, TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet and affiliates are lying their sad asses off.

  21. by Ponderer on February 9, 2026 2:43 pm

And no, pedophile's bitch... STAY ON THIS ONE! DON"T GO YET!

  22. by Indy! on February 9, 2026 5:56 pm

My guess is people are checking out the TPUSA disaster for kicks (like we did here) - but no way was it 20 million. As Indy said after Charlie what's his face died - TPUSA will be dead in a year. Looks like it's happening a lot faster than I thought.

  23. by Indy! on February 9, 2026 6:00 pm

Oh and btw, Mr. Harris - the media monitoring expert... The media's opinion on how many people viewed their show or heard their radio program or read their newspaper or magazine doesn't matter a whit when it comes to the cash end of the deal. Media is not the T rump administration where they "police" themselves - independent services like Nielson or AAM are the ones advertisers look to for accurate numbers, not Charle what's his face's adulterous widow.

  24. by Ponderer on February 9, 2026 9:20 pm

They're probably counting re-watchings. Hits on clicks and the like.

If they could only just get someone to find them 11,730 117,300,000 more viewers...

  25. by HatetheSwamp on February 10, 2026 3:06 am

"Plus, TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet and affiliates are lying their sad asses off."

This, coming from the curmudgeon who thinks The Rachel speaks truth.

Lolol @ the Puppy Bowl getting more viewers that TPUSA omg I'm dying lololool

  28. by Ponderer on February 10, 2026 7:20 am

Navy, we've actually switched over to the Puppy Bowl during a few Super Bowl halftime shows. But this one this year had us riveted. It really was the most incredible one we've ever seen. The staging was mind-boggling.

One of my favorite middle fingers that Bad Bunny got in at Trump was during the part where he was singing next to linemen working on telephone poles. It was a reference to how Trump cancelled the tens of millions of dollars that was allotted to Puerto Rico to repair their electrical infrastructure after it was destroyed by that hurricane that he threw paper towels at.

I kind of want to rewatch the whole thing to see what more there is to catch.
