You know what gets me about you military folks? You always act like no one else is working 14-16 hours a day or not getting overtime or vacations, etc... Got news for you - most people do that and more. I was working 2 jobs at age 58.
So you're nothing but a fucking loser. I mean i did the same thing. We'd go out and the only time we got sleep was when the rotary had to do maintenance. They'd switch out the aircrew, but not us. And we would fly until the next time the aircraft needed to be maintained. Usually 22-36 hours later. All our meals had JP6 on them. They told us it was tastier, it only got me sick and the VA won't cover my breathing issues, which will be with me for the rest of my life. And we knew it at the time.
And the first time you say "No" - you're done. Out of there and the word spreads around town you can't be counted on.
Actually, you'd turn in to a little concha. And for the rest of it, is absolutely true. with us? We would lose our "rating" and our clearance. And you'd be assigned the shittiest places in the world for however long you would stay in.
chonita- 4:50 pm Friday... "Hey Indy, we need this job done by Monday so you're going to have to pull a couple all nighters to get the job to the printer by Sunday 2pm."
So you got to sleep in, you get contacted by the DO, you were just claimed as the backup team for the next 48 hour shift. So it's not just climbing on the HH53s (at first) but you were accountable for all the gear on the platform. Not just yours, but everyone's. 53s took about 4 hours, every time you got called, was four hour+, Then you'd go on a mission. could be in the middle of your refitting the meds. Then come back after 45 minutes and refit for four hours. Sleep until the next call. Go on a mission, come back and restock for 4 hours. You also had to check O2, cable, the "hook" the cable wench, along with all the meds, ringers, etcetcetc. You'd have to sterilize everything. Especially if you took a bandage off and got arterial squirter. Everything you did was the same way a duty nurse had to do it. In the middle of everything. You had to take care of each HUMAN BEING like you would want to be taken care of. So even if it's a dikead like concha. You would do everything in your power to keep them alive until they got to hospital. And on the ground, you would give your life for them.
You don't care about any other human being to do that. It's all about the money, money.money...

There are only 3 things humans need to live - food, clothing and shelter. You losers with no skills sets for the real world got all of those for F...R...E...E...
Fucking pussies - you proved my point.

There's no getting around the fact you've never helped anyone without a paycheck attached to it. Then you're such a narcissist you expect us to say "Thank you for you service" because you (barely) did your job and lost another war for the USA. You want to serve the USA? Do everything in your power to chop the military budget down to about 10% of it's current size and use the savings on education, housing and eliminating ICE.
