One thing is certain: We are not in charge there. Miller can babble on about how we are all he wants. But we ain't.

I'm seeing a lot of MAGA Hats cheering about how free all the Venezuelans are now, that they are dancing in the streets at Moduro being gone.

But... isn't the same corrupt, dictatorish government still in power...? All Trump did was take out the one guy at the top and let his handpicked successor take over. We're already hearing about people who are in the streets celebrating having their phones taken and searched for anti-Moduro stuff and then being disappeared. Nothing really seems to have changed on the street for the Venezuelan people.

How is this all a good thing for the people of Venezuela?

"One thing is certain: We are not in charge there. Miller can babble on about how we are all he wants. But we ain't."

    Define control.

Because, who in Venezuela who also has brain, doesn't know that if they don't walk the chalk line they'll either be standing in arraignment court in New York,... or, will be as dead as those Cubans who didn't survive the apprehension of Maduro?

And, and I don't know what propaganda you're getting from The Rachel, but over here there's speculation about who and how many in positions of power in Venezuela are nuthin more than CIA assets. Including, possibly, Delci Rodriguez, the current interim President.

Just curious. What's your The Rachel and Donna's The Ben saying about what the CIA did and is doing?

  2. by Ponderer on January 7, 2026 7:14 am

So, the repressive, dictatorial Maduro government has CIA assets in it, even perhaps the new president...? Is that your assertion? And now these CIA assets are going to help support a glorious new wave of democracy and freedom for the Venezuelan people...? Are you essentially asserting or suggesting that? And that's what you think is going to make things better for them...?

  3. by HatetheSwamp on January 7, 2026 7:22 am

"So, the repressive, dictatorial Maduro government has CIA assets in it, even perhaps the new president...? Is that your assertion?"

No. It's common knowledge beyond, apparently, your The Rachel and Donna's The, bahaha!

    *****

    From AI:

"The CIA played a crucial role in apprehending Nicolás Maduro by covertly establishing an intelligence-gathering team inside Venezuela, tracking his "pattern of life," and utilizing an asset within his government to pinpoint his location for the final U.S. military operation, codenamed "Operation Absolute Resolve". This involved months of meticulous planning, building a detailed picture of his movements, and coordinating closely with military special operations forces for the raid on his compound."

It's stunning how low-information you two are.

  4. by HatetheSwamp on January 7, 2026 7:31 am

    That's, "Donna's The Ben."

  5. by Ponderer on January 7, 2026 7:40 am

I didn't deny or discount that there were CIA assets in the Maduro government. You're such a strawman factory when you've got nothing.

I'm asking you how you think anything that Trump has now done to Venezuela is going to help the Venezuelan people.

  6. by HatetheSwamp on January 7, 2026 7:46 am

    po,

    You're busted

You claimed, "One thing is certain: We are not in charge there. Miller can babble on about how we are all he wants. But we ain't."

You have no idea how completely Trump's assets are in control. My guess is that it is far more than your The Rachel and Donna's The Ben want to admit... to your anti-American chagrin.

  7. by Ponderer on January 7, 2026 7:51 am

"You have no idea how completely Trump's assets are in control." -pedophile's bitch"

    Okay. Fine. That is true.

Now again I'm asking you how you think anything that Trump has now done to Venezuela is going to help the Venezuelan people? This was the point of the post that you are intentionally ignoring.

  8. by HatetheSwamp on January 7, 2026 8:03 am

    po,

I don't know for certain. But, I love democracy. And, a vile dictator is gone from Venezuela. Ain't?

I'm not excited about what Trump did. However, unlike you, I possess neither omniscience nor omnipotence.

Non sequitur, Indy. po suggested that Trump's mob has no control. Ain't so.

  11. by oldedude on January 7, 2026 9:40 am
po- I've been pretty clear on this. There are so many moving parts. My view in a rundown.

    1. people that have lived in a despot government rarely can govern themselves from the start. That's a problem. It's like a Stockholm Syndrome that has been noted.

    2. As you noted, the lackeys for the despots are still in power. That's got to be an internal issue of getting rid of the extremely pro-maduro forces, much like the "wolf packs" after WWII. Unfortunately, these select few can't be replaced because they hold all the corporate knowledge. The military is the biggest problem here.

    3. The drug cartel is losing a bunch of money right now, after being built up by maduro, and they've been under the command from those mentioned in #2.

    4. Infrastructure sucks. There's no other way to put it. No prescription drugs, hospitals are way under supplied (except for those in power). And of course, the food issues and poverty.

My thought on how to work this out.

Make the streets safe.. That's a huge issue. Girls being taken off the streets, gangs, not to mention the military/ police. I might give a pass to corrupt officials to move to maybe Cuba or another country that might take them. This is a very long process, so maybe a generation or two in order to ensure there isn't a counter revolution to put another dictator in place.

Restructure the Venezuelan Bolívar (VES). Right now, the average income in the country is ~$25.[1]

Get people to work. These are proud folks that love their country. This can be done through rebuilding the infrastructure. If workers can earn enough to feed their families, that's a huge step forward.

Resupply the medical and food shortages for awhile (not permanent. Maybe a year or so, as this as bad as feeding bears). Something that goes with this is the corrupt government officials skimming off the top of everything coming into the country.

Have actual free elections. They're going to have to have international help on this, maybe from the UN to not have all the vote stacking and corruption of the past several elections. The last two elections have been rotten to the core. And of course, there was Chavez before.

Yes, thanks OD for spelling out what Indy has already is said will happen... quagmire. Or if you want the politically correct (iow.... GOP) term - "nation building". We'll be stuck there for years blowing money on whatever whacked scheme the oligarchs invent to put money in their pockets instead of helping average Americans right here at home.

  16. by meagain on January 7, 2026 1:12 pm
In your contributions, OD and Htts, you blithely support the most blatant violation of international law since the German invasion of Poland in 1039. It has now alienate even many countries who had previously given lukewarm support to Trumpism. America is now isolated with not one friend or ally of any consequence in the world.

Brazil has blasted it at the United Nations. And as for the Donroe Doctrine, Brazil has a population of 220 million people and it will tell Trump where to shove his Doctrine. Mexico has more than 130 million. These are powers in their own right and they are not going to bend to the will of the mad Autocrat who is destroying America. Canada, too, Greenland is a precursor to attempts on Canada. That will be a quagmire that will swallow him. And it has a million Canadian assets in the USA.

"Greenland is a precursor to attempts on Canada."

Yours is one of the more hilarious in the who history of SS.

  18. by Indy! on January 7, 2026 1:25 pm

The good news is the Trump administration is hanging themselves as we all suspected they would. Most of his people will find better things to do before the end of the year leaving him with only the crackpots and mentally challenged like himself to try to find a way out of this mess he's creating. Meanwhile Americans suffer and realize again - as they did in the wake of Bush 43 - that's not smart to elect fucking idiots with no experience running a lemonade stand, much less a country.

  19. by HatetheSwamp on January 8, 2026 4:07 am

    Indy,

"The good news is the Trump administration is hanging themselves as we all suspected they would. Most of his people will find better things to do before the end of the year..."

    Yinz,

Watch the first 30 seconds of the video. What Indy has been saying about Trump losing GOP support just ain't true. In fact, the opposite is true. He has higher approval among GOPs than The ONE has among po's sycophant crowd.

I hate to repeat myself but sumpthin happened to Indy's brain at the moment the smoke-filled room launched the conspiracy to foist the Day Drinker on voters. Get yourself some help.
    youtu.be

  20. by Ponderer on January 8, 2026 5:25 am

You're right, Indy!. Every polling indicator since he took office has Trump losing support from Republicans as well as every other demographic ever since on a constant drop. Trump's approval rating hits a new low every time they do a poll.

Yet flaming MAGA Hat, pedophile's bitch here keeps trying to portray this administration's every heinous action as being the opening actions of a budding utopia, which the American populous overwhelmingly cheers on to greater and greater degree as the happy months breeze by.

There's going to be a third No Kings Rally in March. I believe that we are going to hit that 11.5 million we need easily.

  21. by HatetheSwamp on January 8, 2026 5:38 am

    po,

    Fear no CNN video.

Y'know, after all these years. It just hit me. Most of the lies you tell are to yourself.

That much take a ton of energy!

    What has changed?

wrongagain- In your contributions, OD and Htts, you blithely support the most blatant violation of international law since the German invasion of Poland in 1039
That's a blatent LIE. I have CONTINUALLY looked at both sides of this issue. I'm have never been sure this is a smart move at all, and have made that extremely clear had you actually read my posts. You're still a backward thinker, and unable to actually look forward with facts.

Show us (with cited facts from reputable sources) where we are starting a war.

Also. As usual, you can't buy a clue about what is happening in Brazil. It is now the new face of South American dictatorship. I don't care what happened when you remember from 60 years ago. It's not valid. If you're going to speak to it's moves, please understand the "present" facts about it's government.

I'll make a comparison for you, since you can't with your own statements. Where the fuck did trumpster ever claim this area was for the need for "Lebensraum" or "living space" for the American people. That makes ZERO sense.

In Mexico, Central and South America, the political "right" would be an equal to our political "left" more like the old-school democrats, or classic liberalism. The "left" is much more like you, po, concha, etc. It's based on either Bolivar or Che political revolutions and a hatred of external forces.

You've shown this belief regardless of what the terrorists to, and what crimes they've committed. You justify their hacking up infants without regard of the acts themselves by just saying "well, it's not as bad as ..." It's more like accepting what Pol Pot did. Or what is going on in the Congo or Nigeria presently.

  24. by HatetheSwamp on January 8, 2026 7:33 am

    "What has changed?"

For one thing, the brutal torturer dictator who lost the last election and exiled the candidate who won has been removed.

The problem with deranged TrumpHaters such as yourself is the inability to accept the possibility that there might, even by accident, be some good in sumpthin the OrangeTurd did.

  25. by Ponderer on January 8, 2026 8:25 am

The problem with pedophile's bitch and other deranged Trump/MAGA lovers, like pedophile's bitch, is that he and they will never accept the possibility that anything that Trump ever does is bad. In any way at all. Ever. No matter what proof is shown to them. Ever. The rest of the world are the ones who are deranged for even suggesting such a thing as even being possible.

  26. by HatetheSwamp on January 8, 2026 8:39 am

"The problem with pedophile's bitch and other deranged Trump/MAGA lovers, like pedophile's bitch, is that he and they will never accept the possibility that anything that Trump ever does is bad."

    po,

You are so full of $#!t. pb's never supported what Trump did in Venezuela. All he's done, and OD too, is point out that your condemnations are irrational and not rooted in reality.

Standing up against deranged TrumpHate ain't support of Trump.

  27. by meagain on January 8, 2026 8:42 am
Oh! Oh! OD! Once again, "Full of sound and fury signifying nothing."

    1. There are not two sides. The whole world is condemning it as well as American law professors.

    2. Lebensraum is irrelevant. It is an attack on a sovereign nation. War does not have to be declared to make it a war. It was intended to wrest economic and political sovereignty away from the people of the country.

3> Left or right is your obsession, not mine. Brazil is what it is. Although, it is not a dictatorship. It is a Constitutional democratic Republic.

"You've shown this belief regardless of what the (Trumpian) terrorists do, and what crimes they've committed. You justify their caging up of infants, kidnaping citizens, (shacking up infants), without regard of the acts themselves by just saying "well, it's not as bad as ..."

  28. by HatetheSwamp on January 8, 2026 8:49 am

    Bahahahahahahahahahaha haha ha ha, ahhh.

  29. by Indy! on January 8, 2026 9:01 am

    Mr. Harris...

First off - you don't hate repeating yourself. The only reason you post that same nonsense in 70% of your posts (according to the last count) is because you have to bring up your wife's name as many times as possible in a day, every day.

Secondly - your video. Of course there's no rift in the GOP NOW - because right NOW Venezuela looks like a massive success to the ignorant and backwards thinkers in the GOP. But none of that matters anyway because I didn't say the GOP would turn on him (especially the 33% that makes up you MAGAts) - I said "AMERICANS" would turn on him which rules out the GOP completely.

  30. by HatetheSwamp on January 8, 2026 9:06 am

    Indy,

    Take that up with CNN.

  31. by Ponderer on January 8, 2026 9:07 am

pedophile's bitch apparently does not think that defending Trump's unconstitutional invasion of Venezuela with lies and bullshit is not in any way to be misconstrued as "support" for what Trump did.

pedophile's bitch will sit there and reflexively and mindlessly defend and champion what Trump did by trying to negate any truthful, accurate, and justifiable condemnation that we might present of what happened with his bullshit nonsense.

But that is not support for Trump. Heavens forefend such a notion. Don't for a second think that all this defense of Trump from pedophile's bitch is support for Trump.

    The very idea!
