Lead- give him a break. He actually had the stone to cite, regardless of cites questionable "standard" in a reasonable world.

meagain, did you notice that nothing in OD's or Hate's comments touches a single point you made. That’s how people respond when the substance is way beyond their ability to address or comment on, and the only move left for them is to respond with ad homonyms or to attack the source...

    We've seen this movie before.

There are several striking similarities between the rhetoric and strategies employed by the George W. Bush administration in the lead-up to the 2003 Iraq War and the Donald Trump administration's "maximum pressure" campaign and "sabre rattling" toward Venezuela.

Both administrations utilized a narrative that framed the target nation as an immediate, existential national security threat requiring potential military action, often relying on specific, ultimately disputed, characterizations.

    Shifting National Security Pretext:
The Bush administration justified the Iraq invasion based on fabricated claims regarding Saddam Hussein's possession of "weapons of mass destruction" (WMDs) and alleged operational links to Al-Qaeda after the 9/11 attacks.

The Trump administration similarly sought to justify action by invoking a novel "narco-terrorism" narrative, designating Nicolás Maduro's government as a major drug trafficking threat (e.g., the "Cartel de los Soles" and fentanyl claims).

    The "Oil" Factor:
Analysts point out that both Iraq and Venezuela are oil-rich nations with some of the world's largest proven oil reserves. The pursuit of control over these resources was widely cited as a potential underlying motivation in both cases, despite official denials.

You are right, Islander, and I await eagerly some attempt by them to do that. It is an issue that I will happily take them apart over.

I can only imagine that yinz intellects, or reading compression, at least,is lacking. OD and pb understand each other perfectly. Maybe it's not true that being conservative or libertarian that means one is stoopid. Maybe being woke equals stupidity.

Makes sense. I keep telling po, you're not that stoopid, maybe I'm wrong.
