And, po, you are BUSTED!

Back in the day, when OCare was being foisted on citizens, Indy and pb were alone, on SS in vehemently opposing it.

po, in particular, practicing po's "Politics of po," declared, in effect, "You can both go to h€ll, because it helps ME."

Curiously, as I recall, one of Indy's major objections to OCare was that OCare IS LITTLE MORE THAN WELFARE FOR [EVIL] INSURANCE COMPANIES. And, pb agreed. Still, po continued not to give a d@ng, due to po's narcissistic Politics of po.

So,...

From Trump this morning on Truth Social:

I am recommending to Senate Republicans that the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars currently being sent to money sucking Insurance Companies in order to save the bad Healthcare provided by ObamaCare, BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE, and have money left over. In other words, take from the BIG, BAD Insurance Companies, give it to the people, and terminate, per Dollar spent, the worst Healthcare anywhere in the World, ObamaCare.

So, Indy. I know that you agree with the part about the "money sucking Insurance Companies." How does Trump's plan sit with you?

How bout you po?

BTW, I'm saying now, and said back in 010, that GOPs had several approaches to health insurance reform that The ONE... our Authoritarian-in-Chief... refused to allow Congress to consider.

Trump's proposal very closely resembles an idea GOPs were batting around.

And the gullible MAGA Hats lap up this ridiculous three-card-monte horseshit like it's creme brulee.

    po,

As isle has posted to me many times in the past: Now we're getting somewhere.

What, in your opinion, makes the proposal "hor$e$hit?"

  3. by Ponderer on November 8, 2025 7:33 am

The fact that he lying and won't do what he says he will do. Even if a judge orders him to.

Have you not been watching him for the last decade or so? All he does is lie. Bait and switch. Lie some more. Reneg. Flip-flop. What makes you imagine he would suddenly change his M.O. in any way at all? He never has. He's a con man first and foremost.

I think it's important to mention that even chuckie schumer wants time to "reinvent" the ACA to something cheaper, more helpful, and worthwhile to those on it. So it's NOT "just" the GOP.

    po,

There are moments when I literally pity you. You are an absolute prisoner of the preferences and prejudices that you bring with you to every moment of your life. You are incapable of exercising agency. You possess no freedom of will.

Re: "Have you not been watching him for the last decade or so? All he does is lie."

    Noop.

It's the old... take him seriously but not literally, take him literally not seriously... thing.

I'm trying to remember all ten years, but I can't recall a single lie that Trump has told. He's a BSer extraordinaire but, he's not a liar.

A "Truth" Social post is not a plan, Brown Shorts. And to believe T rump is going to eliminate insurance companies is to also believe the moon is made of green cheese. That's before we get to the part about the GOP not giving up their market-based plan.

  7. by HatetheSwamp on November 8, 2025 9:50 am

    Indy,

For sure. It's not carefully crafted legislation. But, as I said, back when The ONE was foisting OCare, this is similar to one the ideas GOPs were pushing.

Also, I'm pretty sure that Trump's the butt boy for Big Insurance you're making him out to be.

"BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE" HtS quoting Trump

An idiotic idea. How would that work? Would the government send everybody a certain amount of money whether they had medical costs or not? Would people be expected to buy insurance from the "money sucking insurance companies" on their own?

Or would the government send people money on an as need basis? If that's the case the government is acting like an insurance company. That sounds like universal healthcare.

This reminds me of trumpster wanting congress to get him a bill to unfuck the DACA issue and he would sign it. chuckie, and little nancy insured it wouldn't go through. Even after all their whining and bitching about it.

Having congress "fix" the ACA is the way to go IF they'll do it. And the numbers are what they need for a bilateral bill.

A "Truth" Social post is not a plan, Brown Shorts. And to believe T rump is going to eliminate insurance companies is to also believe the moon is made of green cheese. That's before we get to the part about the GOP not giving up their market-based plan.
Interesting, you're the first one to mention of market-based vs single-payer. No one mentioned it. At all.

I know this is going to shock you, but trumpster isn't the one writing the bill. I know this confuses you. Even obomber said "it's an imperfect bill" but the dims don't want to change it. With chuckie now wanting to change it (supposedly) it might happen.

Oh. here are some additional citations that you obviously couldn't find. If you need help, please. Just ask.

We don't know how that would work, because they haven't ever submitted a real plan - just a "concept of a plan" as DJT once described it.

The real left has been advocating for cutting out the insurance company middle man for ages, but both political parties won't even consider it. And yes, Curt, that would be universal healthcare, something the Americans have desperately needed for ages, which every modern nation except the USA has been providing for their citizens for ages.

That's funny. Odorous still doesn't believe the ACA is a market-based plan.

So far as "Trump giving money back to the people" - what does he think subsidies are? The government has been paying for my insurance for the last 5 or 6 years - over $1K a month. And if I bought cheaper health insurance with it? I get a tax refund - actual cash directly from the government. The first year I received a $1600 tax refund from the ACA.

  12. by oldedude on November 8, 2025 8:28 pm
Not what I said. And for some welfare conchita living off the government, that doesn't say much about you. But I guess you're just a "failed" "artist" and not worth anything.

  13. by Indy! on November 8, 2025 8:54 pm

I'm only getting healthcare from the government - they're not paying for my healthcare, my house, my car, my food, my kids, my pets, my monthly subscription to Jane magazine, my cable TV, my electricity, my meth habit and all the other stuff they pay for YOU, Odorous. You're the last person who should be talking abou sucking at the government teat - you would be in a jail somewhere right now if not for the army corps of job programs for illiterate Americans because you're only skill set is using a gun.
