When I read the issues, I am inclined to like some of them. And others have proven to be money pits.
Rent Freeze & Tenant Protections NYC already has a "Rent Guidelines Board" (RGB). It's redundant. They're already proactively circumventing Zohran.👎
Affordable Housing Construction I can go with this. The issue that is different, is space. They have the space in several parts of NYC, and that's where people have moved from. So that's doable.👍
Fare-Free Buses & MTA Reform I don't really have an objection to it. New Yorkers have been pretty vocal about the homeless riding from start to finish of the day, especially in winter. It would be more affordable to just give them a space to shoot up. 👎
Social Services and Labor Free child care. For this to work, I would work with the school districts. They have the knowledge to do this. It could be a great program if it isn't "just" baby-sitting, and run like a "head start" program. Both the grandkids go to Pre-K schools. So the kids are prepping now for K5 (when kids typically start public schools). The four year old has a girl in his class that reads at 1st grade level to the class, which I think is amazing. So not only is he bilingual, but also learning Spanish (a great asset in my state). So at four, he can count to 100 in three languages. I intro some words in spanish to them also.👍
This could also help with people getting paid for working there. I'm thinking of Community College programs for Child Care, Early childhood Education, etc, much like the "med tech" programs Community Colleges run. This would be a wonderful asset for mothers and fathers to get jobs. It would also assist with any language issues. My view is the city could cover the certificate training through grants(?) maybe. 👍
The only drawback is the known issue with abuse in the system. AND if this is taken care of, I give it a thumbs up.
City-Owned Grocery Stores In the US, government owned grocery stores haven't had good luck. They constantly run out of fresh produce, and other things. You have to get someone that isn't a bureaucrat and can actually run the store to be manager. My thought is if he has them, they need to be part of the low-income housing. Because of the history, which always starts well-intended, I'm not a big fan.👎
Green school initiative I'm not opposed to these, and they take a lot of maintenance. Again, additional costs for the city, and, if he can pull it off, would be a boom for the people and him.👍
The rest of them. I'm not a big fan of. The minimum wage will kill small businesses. Folks, especially the poor are begging for safety in their section of town. They're tired of the gang issues and losing their kids because the gangsters don't check the background. Also when you have poverty, you'll see more domestic violence (harvard rat theory). Something a "social worker" shouldn't be at initially for their own protection. 👎👎👎
The tax thing, that's always the sex lube for liberals. And the liberal millionaires just leave. Alaska, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, or Wyoming here we come.

Tenant Protections: Cracking down on bad landlords and ending practices like deed theft that target homeowners.
Odorous skipped that part because he knows it's common sense and should be the law of the land. We actually have those protections here in the free state of Florida (if you live in the right county).
