This is NOT a babylon bee article.

A future politician got a tat when he was in Croatia, and drunk. Turns out, the tat was an excellent copy of the Totenkopf. Normally, no one would say anything, but now he's running for office. OOPS. The Totenkopf tattoo or "skull and crossbones" of the Nazi SS are widely known to instill fear and loathing for all but the die hard Nazis globally.

This fine outstanding citizen "claims" he didn't have a clue it was that, even though he's had the tattoo since 2007.

So should the guy get a chance to run, and would he get your vote?

I've heard the basic outline of this story, but where's the article?

Personally, I would not vote for him because I never believe people when they get something nazi tattooed on themselves and then claim "they didn't know" it was nazi. You walk into a tat shop - drunk or not - and see some art you like... you don't ask where it comes from or what it means or anything else? Just "Yeah - give me that one!"

Sorry. Doesn't pass the smell test.

OGUNQUIT, Maine (AP) — His U.S. Senate campaign under fire, Maine Democrat Graham Platner said a tattoo on his chest has been covered to no longer reflect an image widely recognized as a Nazi symbol.

Platner said he had never been questioned about the tattoo’s connections to Nazi symbols in the 20 years he has had it. He said that after serving three tours as a Marine, he later went to enlist in the Army, which requires an examination for tattoos of hate symbols.

  4. by Indy! on October 25, 2025 11:55 am

I have never seen that artwork before, and even googling SS imagery it didn't come up - so maybe his story is true. It's not the tattoo I would pick out - but I don't have or want any tattoos, so there's that. But given his background from the article, I sincerely doubt I would vote for him even without the tattoo controversy. For one thing I believe we need less ex-veterans in our government, not more.

  5. by Ponderer on October 25, 2025 12:10 pm

Some would argue that what Hegseth has are "early Christian" symbols and phrases. They were Crusader symbols and phrases. The Crusaders were not Christians. The absolute opposite in fact.

  6. by oldedude on October 25, 2025 12:19 pm
The Crusaders were not Christians. The absolute opposite in fact.

Okay, I have GOT to hear this! How did you come upon that one!

  7. by Curt_Anderson on October 25, 2025 2:44 pm
    OD,
I believe that ponderer is suggesting that the Crusaders were not Christian-like. They were not "love thy neighbor" variety Christians.

Crusaders were involved numerous atrocities, including widespread massacres, organized violence against Jewish communities in Europe, and the brutal sackings of cities in the Middle East and Byzantium.

  8. by Ponderer on October 25, 2025 3:11 pm

Correct, Curt. In short, nothing they did on the Crusades was in any way related to any teaching of Christ and were in point of historic fact quite the sadistic opposite.

Anyone who does not accept the teachings of Jesus, by the very definition of what a Christian is, does not qualify as a Christian.

I got something out of those four years in that Christian Bible High School.

I'd say the truth of it is that it was warfare of the era. Nothing better, nothing worse. Europe had just come out of the Roman era and was used to "winner takes all" warfare. Gold, food, slaves were always taken by both sides.

Interestingly, the hero of Vienna and Austria was Vlad Dracul III, Voivode of Wallachia, and yes he beat the Turkish Empire back from taking over what's now Romania. And yes, Vlad was famous for impaling his victims and displaying the impaled dead like a forest of corpses, with the leaders on a higher stake than their soldiers. The cost to the Turks was so bad, they went back to Turkey. He's a legend because of the way he fought.

So to "assume" our standards on something that happened 600 years ago is at least shows a lack of historical context. And it wasn't just the Europeans that had these rules. Muslims played by the same rules, and beheaded most of their captors. The only real answer to this is; "You've come a long way, baby!"

So... back in those times... Christians didn't have to follow any of the teachings of Jesus to be Christians...?

  11. by oldedude on October 25, 2025 8:47 pm
Of course, NOT MY POINT. And to put your "feelings" on something that is thousands of years old is just stupid. Maybe you could think about things you "could" change. Because obviously, you're not going to change this.

That's a huge issue with the libtards. Always looking backwards (except when it suits them) and blaming shit they have no control over. I am also anti-slavery, as conchita and I have fought over (it loves slavery). Should it have happened? No. Did it happen? Yes. Can I change that? NO. Do we have slavery now? YES. And the fucking dims over look it. Because, like in the 1860's they also LOVED SLAVERY!

Either recognize this or fess up to the last. Quit riding the fence, you're balls are going to get split.

  12. by oldedude on October 25, 2025 8:58 pm
RE: #4. Than you're stupider than I EVER gave you credit for. I expected you, of all the NAZIS on this site to know the "deaths head" that murdered so many jews, gays, artists, and writers, you stupid fuck.

  13. by Indy! on October 26, 2025 11:34 am

Perhaps some of us are not as obsessed with war and killing people as you are, Odie? 🤔

  14. by oldedude on October 26, 2025 2:07 pm
You keep talking about "brown shorts" and Nazis, I would have expected you to know more about what you talk about.

    Well, maybe not.

  15. by Indy! on October 26, 2025 5:40 pm

Well I knw the nazis were called "brown shirts" because of the color of their shirts. "Brown Shorts" refers to people like you and Brown Shorts who crap their pants anytime Trump says so.

  16. by Ponderer on October 27, 2025 4:24 am

I always thought it was cleaver, Indy!.

  17. by oldedude on October 27, 2025 5:57 am
The funniest thing is that we're not the little nazis the libtards are on this site. We actually disagree with trumpster on a regular basis. cornuda and the rest of them get their marching orders from tiktok to the letter with the same parrot talk all at once. None of the libs have the balls to disagree with their man in the high tower. He says "spew hatred" and everyone spews hatred. In unison.

  18. by oldedude on October 27, 2025 6:01 am
Take a look at this. concha was against this asshole with an SS tattoo, until he found out he was a dim, and then supported him. Talk about a spineless thot!

  19. by Indy! on October 27, 2025 11:05 am

    Two questions, OD...

    1) Where did I support the guy with the tattoo? Sourcing that would be the first step on the long journey to losing the title of Official Board Liar.

    2) Who is the "man in the high tower" that all us libtards don't have the balls to disagree with? 🤔

  20. by oldedude on October 27, 2025 12:37 pm
Indy- 1) Where did I support the guy with the tattoo? Sourcing that would be the first step on the long journey to losing the title of Official Board Liar.
Indy, changing it's mind about the Nazi. I have never seen that artwork before, and even googling SS imagery it didn't come up - so maybe his story is true.

    2) Who is the "man in the high tower" that all us libtards don't have the balls to disagree with?
I dunno, I'm not a libtard. It's the one that tells you how to think, what to say, and what you believe. You've never thought for yourself, you just copy people.

  21. by Indy! on October 27, 2025 12:50 pm

Soooooooo, one... you have nothing to even suggest I support tattoo guy, and two there is nobody in a high tower to give us libtards marching orders.

That would be two strikes or - as usual - par for your course.

  22. by oldedude on October 28, 2025 8:37 pm

It's okay to be wrong, Old Dud - not being able to admit it is your problem.

  24. by Ponderer on November 13, 2025 10:46 am

Funny how meaningless all this obfuscatory malarkey all looks now, given the fact that our president Donald Trump is a pedophile.

  25. by Indy! on November 13, 2025 12:00 pm

    Right?

Aint gonna go away - oh no... aint gonna go away...

  26. by oldedude on November 13, 2025 5:49 pm
And pedojoe always was. and y'all protected him🤔.

  27. by Indy! on November 13, 2025 6:52 pm

You mean Trump is protecting him. If Joe was a pedo - why hasn't Trump gone after him? He's desperate to charge Joe with something.

  28. by oldedude on November 13, 2025 7:11 pm
Yeah, it's that fucking short term memory loss. Or dementia. Remember pedojoe "pardoned himself? Or did you forget that?

  29. by Indy! on November 13, 2025 7:17 pm

Or maybe you just made that up? Here's the list of Biden's pardons straight from the U.S. Dept of Justice (a source I think we can all accept as legit) - Joe Biden's name is not on the list.
    justice.gov

I love how olde dude expects us to remember things that never happened.

  31. by oldedude on November 14, 2025 11:36 am
Here's a list, including himself and his entire family, some murderers, etc. These all include different pardons, and some will mention the same.

"Remember pedojoe "pardoned himself? Or did you forget that?" -olde dude

Help me out here, od. Because you see, Biden never "pardoned himself" (your quoted words) as you most specifically said he did. That's just wrong on its face. He never did what you say he did and none of your sources say he did that either (Even without looking!).

So I'm just trying to figure out what you're talking about and how it relates to Donald Trump being allthefuckover the Epstein Emails and is a serial pedophile.

Can't you even stay on topic in threads that you even started yourself???

  33. by Indy! on November 14, 2025 12:31 pm

There's only one source on the long list of GOP sites Odorous posted that matters - the same one I already posted... justice.gov. That site lists ALL of Joe Biden's pardons and his name is not one of them.

So OD? You undercut your own lie with your own source (which was originally MY source). Again - you are the OFFICIAL BOARD LIAR and no one will ever be able to take that title from you.
