Separation of Powers, BABY!

I think Dems foolishly believed that the anti-MAGAs in the Swamp would always provide cover for their, as po'd say, but this time, appropriate, UNCONSTITUTIONAL behavior. But, clearly, there are still some DC bureaucrats who love America more than they hate MAGA. And, that's a huuuuuuge problem for Dems.

This Jack Smith acquiring of telephone records whistle-blower leak is a big deal.

As you know, pb monitors right-wing media on a regular basis and, over here there's more than a little chatter about what Jack Smith did being...

... MORE SERIOUS THAN WATERGATE.

And, it may well be.

Trump's regime has nearly 3 1/2 years to mine the Swamp bureaucracy for whistle-blowers who will expose the secrets of "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's" string-pullers.

Expect to learn more about who the fascists in DC really are.

The video is helpful in splaining constitutional and Swamp issues.

You woke SwampDems should be petrified that patriotic bureaucrats will spill the beans over the obvious corruption of the FBI and DOJ under string-puller authority.

    From AI:

"Senator Chuck Grassley and other Republicans obtained FBI records revealing the agency's 2023 analysis of several Republican lawmakers' phone logs from January 2021. The records were secured through congressional oversight requests and whistleblowers. The disclosure has sparked controversy, with Grassley and other Republicans calling the FBI's actions an unconstitutional abuse of power.

Whistleblower disclosures: A significant portion of the information became public thanks to legally protected disclosures from Justice Department and FBI whistleblowers. Grassley has historically championed whistleblower protections and used information from those sources to compel transparency from federal agencies."

    Yeeeeeeeeeeeeha!

    Concur. No exceptions.

Yes, it's the congress that has unearthed all of this. Can congress put folks in prison regardless of what they've done? No. That power comes with pulling together pieces of charges of the cases and putting together the rough draft of the case. Then handing it to DOJ.

It's their job to look into the laws, look at predicate acts etc, and 1. see if this is worth charging someone. The GOP isn't going to charge cummy with j-walking. That's useless and what they did to clinton. They chose poorly on that, and it's come to haunt them even today (thanks to In Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade).

I didn't realize that James had such a plethora of charges and history of bank fraud in her dossier. Shiftless is the same.

I think they can file charges on little nancy, and I'm not sure they want to open that box, since I'm guessing it would entrap many in both parties.

I would be interested in looking at money coming from big pharma. Everyone whines about our health care, both left and right. I understand that. We need to get into the reason we can't get anyone to pass what is good for the citizens. Pharma is behind most of that. And pharma is buying off politicians by the millions of dollars.

    HtS, Od,
Former Special Counsel Jack Smith obtained the phone records of several Republican senators via a lawful grand jury subpoena. What is illegal or unconstitutional about that?

The subpoena for the phone records was disclosed by several Republican senators, including Chuck Grassley of Iowa, who chairs the Judiciary Committee that oversees the FBI. Grassley said the Sept. 27, 2023, document memorializing the "preliminary toll analysis" was found in response to his request. The investigative step was authorized by a grand jury, the senators said.

First. Up until now, no one has argued this. At all. I wonder why you are now. My questions with anything you dims want to subpoena or warrant is the veracity of the information the GJ was given. Why did they want the information, and what were the charges they were trying to prove? Do you know that? Are they still using the Steele dossier? Was this to take down trumpster? That will be a later argument regarding using FISA against a citizen of the US, and a political adversary (all of that is illegal) and will include charges for james, cummy, et al.

dims also said the FISA subpoenas and warrants were also "valid" and got by folks much more reliable than a grand jury to sign off on them. It was only after that the country was informed about the illegal "evidence" that was entered into the "evidence" of the subpoenas and warrants. I realize this is something you still can't comprehend. My bet is that it was to take down trumpster, a violation of federal law. AND I don't know yes or no on that at this time.

The flip side of this is that if it was valid, with valid reason, I don't see a problem with it. libtards are like the history of serial killers. They have one motive, and you look at them like serial murderers and don't trust them FIRST. Let them prove it later.

    Curt,

    From AI... AGAIN!!!!!:

"Whistleblower disclosures: A significant portion of the information became public thanks to legally protected disclosures from Justice Department and FBI whistleblowers. Grassley has historically championed whistleblower protections and used information from those sources to compel transparency from federal agencies."

I'm not an Ivy League law school professor, but I know that, simply because a Grand Jury issues a subpoena, that it's constitutional.

Supreme Courts throughout our history have protected the Separation of Powers carefully. Jack Smith is a thug. I suspect that if and when issues connected to the subpoena... and the carriers who supplied the data, WITHOUT CHALLENGING THE SUBPOENAS IN COURT... arrive at the Supreme Court, it won't go well for Smith and his SwampCronies.

I'm not po. Just my opinion.

Comical. So NOW the board MAGAts are concerned about presidents involved in unconstitutional activities. 😂

And as always with Indy - if Biden or anyone else broke the law? Arrest them, charge them and convict them. You know - like we did with Trump.

  7. by HatetheSwamp on October 12, 2025 10:47 am

    Indy,

Exactly in the way we were during the reign of The ONE.

  8. by Indy! on October 12, 2025 11:19 am

If you're (wrongly) suggesting again that you and I are on some same page? I would say nope because for one thing I've never once seen you or Señorita Cop Killer say arrest, or prosecute, or convict, or jail anyone from MAGAtville. You two are clearly swamp creatures thru and thru...

  9. by oldedude on October 12, 2025 7:20 pm
This said from a completely ignorant "failed" "artist" about the federal laws of the US.

  10. by Indy! on October 12, 2025 7:25 pm

Truth cuts right thru all your (laughable) fake tough guy talk. You have never once said you'd charge one of your own with a crime. But we know without any doubt you'll make excuses for every one of them - even when they try to break with the Constitution or any other tenets of the American Way. Cuz when you get right down to it - it's ALWAYS the military, the cops and the "religious" who fold up and run when things get real.

  11. by oldedude on October 12, 2025 7:28 pm
    Stick to the thread, dikead.

  12. by Indy! on October 13, 2025 8:55 am

Answer the question, Queenie. Why have you never once claimed you would uphold the law against your own? Every "libtard" on the board has said they would have no problem prosecuting ANYONE who broke the law. The only thing you've been okay with so far is releasing your cop killer butties back onto the streets of America where some of them have already killed again.

You're as fake as every other fake ass military "hero".

THanK YOu fOr yOur "SeRVice" 😂

True. And the GOP is full of them.
