You SS woke probably know the Hegelian concept best because your Karl Marx used Hegel's theory of history to argue that the world's economy would, eventually, evolve into Communism.

The idea is that a predominant way of thinking exists, i.e., a thesis and, in time, that thought system is challenged by a competing way of thinking, or an antithesis, that there is a struggle between the two, resulting in a new system of thought, Hegel called that a synthesis. The synthesis then becomes a new thesis that, eventually, is challenged by a new antithesis,... and the cycle continues.

In effect, Weiss says, in the video, that she's been hired to take CBS News, a part of the legacy media, the old way, the current "thesis," which is being destroyed [think the 024 election] by the New Media, its antithesis.

Her goal is to make CBS News the forerunner of a media synthesis.

Understand, Weiss doesn't mention Hegel or Marx or history. But, she explains why she was hired in a Hegelian way.

Weiss is a leading figure in the New Media. She hopes to transform Curt's Holy Trinity, using New Media principles and values to create a new way of doing News. [Note: Weiss doesn't mention Curt by name, either.]

So, gang, understand. The CBS Evening News will no longer be a 30 minute, later in the day BJ, performed on the DNC. That way of doing news is, according to Weiss, going the way of the dinosaur, as much as Curt and many woke progressive geezers will hate to see it go.

Weiss once worked for Curt's beloved NYT and she hated it and thought the Times has become the epitome of evil. She thinks that about all of the legacy media.

Good for her.

Will she succeed in bringing CBS News into this century? If so, what will that synthesis look like?

Anyway, her video splaining why she was hired and what she hopes to achieve is below...

... if you care about truth.

Ole pb wishes her well.

Weiss is an uninformed idiot, although to you she probably represents the highest IQ level of MAGAtville. It’s funny that you believe her getting a job at ultra rightwing CBS is somehow a blow to the left when it’s really just another day at The Fox JV network.

Bari Weiss' 10 rules of journalism, or,... Woke hegemony is dead.

Journalism that reports on the world as it actually is.

Journalism that is fair, fearless and factual.

Journalism that respects our audience enough to tell the truth plainly — wherever it leads.

Journalism that makes sense of a noisy, confusing world.

Journalism that explains things clearly, without pretension or jargon.

Journalism that holds both American political parties to equal scrutiny. [Dems, and all progressives, are dead if that takes hold.]

Journalism that embraces a wide spectrum of views and voices so that the audience can contend with the best arguments on all sides of a debate.

Journalism that rushes toward the most interesting and important stories, regardless of their unpopularity.

Journalism that uses all of the tools of the digital era.

Journalism that understands that the best way to serve America is to endeavor to present.
