It's crazy that the movie industry allows any guns containing explosive charges on the set. There never should be unloaded prop guns, known as "cold guns" in the trade, and certainly never guns loaded with live ammunition. Prop guns should be incapable of firing any sort of projectile including cotton wadding.

Hollywood has the magic to make it appear as if a gun was fired. They probably already add gunshot sound effects. They can make it appear that Luke Skywalker was wielding a lightsaber, a flash and maybe a puff of smoke from a gun should be a small matter for them.

    That's how Brandon Lee, who I knew personally, died. I'll never forget when I heard the shocking news.

    He was in my acting class in Hollywood, before he became well known. In fact once he called me at home to see if I wanted to do a sketch with him for class. He said he liked my work. Stupidly I didn't take him up on it because I had decided a week earlier to stop attending class. I had recently bought a house that was over a hour away from Hollywood and I had just started dating a woman who eventually became my second wife, and I wanted to spend more time on my music.

    Brandon seemed like a very nice guy. He admitted that the only reason the William Morris agency -- the most prestigious agency in the biz at that time -- represented him was because of his late dad's fame.

    Wow! Great anecdote. As Mark Twain is credited with saying, "twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did." Whether Twain said it or not, I find that it's true.

    A male student put on a skirt...not that there's anything wrong with that...and walked into the girl's restroom...as is his right.

    And, when the opportunity presented itself, he raped.

    He's involved in two incidents. Are you saying that the same father was connected to both incidents...in different schools!!!!!?

    Curt: Probably everyone would love to call a
    mulligan every now and then. I reason that it seemed like the right thing to do at the time.

    Btw we're at a gas station in Blythe, CA on our way to Phoenix. Then on to Tucson tomorrow.

    Gasoline is only 3.29 here. In SoCal it's anywhere from $1.20 to $1.60/gal more.
