“I don’t think we’re going to be able to get the vote,” he said in response to a question about individual and corporate rates at a CNN town hall on Thursday in Baltimore. “Look, when you’re in the United States Senate and you’re president of the United States and you have 50 Democrats, everyone is the president.”
This is becoming a jumbled mess...
...which is exactly what happens when a person suffering from dementia is put in the position of leading others in addressing a matter that involves complicated thinking.
It reminds me of the time I began to realize that something was not right with my dad's brain.
I had to drive him to see a doctor. I'd never been to the office but I was familiar with the street address.
I started to drive there. And, dad immediately questioned the route I was taking because I was going to drive for about a mile on a divided four lane highway. By that time, those roads scared dad.
I wasn't really familiar with the city mom and dad lived in but, still trusting dad's mind, I asked for directions. I followed dad's first turn. When we got to the end of that road, dad was surprised. He didn't remember that intersection. He told me how to turn and, after a few more turns, I had no idea where I was...and, dad didn't know either.
I took over and drove around until I found a place in the city that looked familiar. Then I drove to the address I knew.
If I'd depended on dad to get us to our destination, we would never have made it there.
That seems to be exactly where the Dems are with Joe at the helm.
Ultimately, it's good for the country. If we can survive until January 023.
