The left isn't stupid, although as with any grouping of human beings, there are going to be some whackos in the midst. But on the whole, the Left did not want Charley Kirk dead like this. We know that the last thing that we need is for the MAGA Hats and Trump, to have someone like Kirk to use as a martyr. I shudder to think of what Trump is going to do with this.
The shooter is still on the loose. From where it appears the shots came from and the various sightings of someone on that roof, it seems difficult to imagine how he/she avoided capture. It has all the feelings of a professional hit, so far at least.
And as I will not put anything past this treasonously scofflaw administration, the notion that Kirk was taken out by someone working for it cannot be disregarded. And why? For the exact response that his death is resulting in on the right; To make him a martyr for The Cause.
I truly hope that they catch this assassin. But if they don't, I am afraid that my thoughts along this line will only grow in certainty.
