On Sunday, Sen Mike Lee (R-UT) made several comments on the Minnesota shootings, causing his followers to believe that he was ‘mocking’ the incidents.
“This is what happens. When Marxists don’t get their way,” Lee said on X, platform formerly known as Twitter. He also posted a photo of the suspect.
“Nightmare on Waltz Street,” the Utah senator said in another post, making a dig at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
The NY Post reported that his roommate said that he had conservative political views, but rarely talked about politics and didn’t seem overtly political.
“He was a Trump supporter. He voted for Trump. He liked Trump. I like Trump,” lifelong friend David Carlson told The Post.
