These hearings will be the first of many concerning the Biden brouhaha...

... and, considering the results of the 024 election, this can only help the GOPs.

It will be a very boring hearing. The doctor will cite HIPAA laws and say nothing.

  2. by oldedude on June 6, 2025 4:18 pm
My guess is that he won't even honor the subpoena just like the rest of those that were subpoenaed that knew of his debilitation.

...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand nobody outside of the Fox Fiction Factory bubble cares anyway.

  4. by HatetheSwamp on June 7, 2025 4:34 am

    One word, Indy: New Media.

Fox is doing quite well these days. Most days, it draws more than TWICE CNN and The Rachel COMBINED.

But, Fox is irrelevant. It's Rogan and RUTHLESS and Kelly and a slew of others in New Media that will matter,... for at least a decade.

  5. by Ponderer on June 7, 2025 7:53 am

Trump must have some serious ailment that he's trying to head off and distract people from when it comes out.

Maybe his Syphilis is really starting to take a toll. We've already been seeing the mental incapacitation part of it.

  6. by HatetheSwamp on June 7, 2025 11:02 am

Based on ORIGINAL SIN, what "that feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap's" string-pullers pullers got away with, Trump's got nuthin to fear.

But, the Dems are going to have to endure some baaaaaaad visuals when the doc attempts his hipaa dance and repeatedly claims his 5th Amendment rights.

  7. by Indy! on June 7, 2025 11:30 am

Again with the ratings. Ratings are achieved by serving the lowest common denominator - that's why you watch, Brown Shorts. And again - I don't watch Fox, CNN or Rachel (or any other show on MSNBC).

  8. by HatetheSwamp on June 7, 2025 12:52 pm

    Indy,

Somehow you seem to have missed that Fox and Rogan and Megyn and RUTHLESS produced a huuuuuuuuuge GOP victory in November,... ratings and all.

  9. by Indy! on June 7, 2025 1:12 pm

Wait... If those guys created a huge victory for the GOP - why do you keep blaming it on the Ds who decided to nominate Kamala without a primary or anything? Oh right... that's just another way you get to talk about your sweetheart.

    Never mind. 🙂

  10. by Navy2711 on June 7, 2025 1:18 pm

    Hate,

Those programs that you're listing are ENTERTAINMENT programs. I don't think that anyone is arguing that people aren't swayed by entertainment, or decide their vote for stupid reasons. Donny got votes from Joe's endoresment. Kamala got votes from Taylor's endorsement. Kennedy got votes because he looked prettier on TV than Nixon.

You're kinda proving Indy's point. People are dumb. They want to be entertained, not informed. That's why y'all watch those programs.

  11. by HatetheSwamp on June 7, 2025 1:37 pm

"You're kinda proving Indy's point. People are dumb."

    And, progressives are holier-than-thou...

    Oh, and, GOPs own DC!

Please, continue to diminish the New Media. From what I can tell, Kelly and Rogan and RUTHLESS and t'others deal with news more faithfully... and far more authentically... than network nightly news and CNN and The Rachel and Fox.

The really "dumb" people, IMO, are those who think the nightly news these days is news. And that CNN, The Rachel and Fox report, not preach.

  12. by Navy2711 on June 7, 2025 2:47 pm

    Hate,

"Please, continue to diminish the New Media."

I think you're still misunderstanding. I acknowledge that "new media" ... (is that what we're calling Joe Rogan and other programs where the host gives a platform to flat-earthers, holocaust deniers and anti-vaxxers, under the guise of "just asking questions"?) ... has plenty of influence. Not as much as you think, though ... I mean, the new media isn't that new, and the Dems crushed the 2020 election ... but quite a bit. It's not that they don't have influence. It's that they appeal to non-thinkers. They appeal to people emotions.

    Do you understand that distinction?

    2. "The really "dumb" people, IMO, are those who think the nightly news these days is news."

Okay, but you forgot about the rest of the world, Hate. The GLOBE disagrees with you. The WORLD knows that Joe Biden won the 2020 election, and that January 6th was an insurrection. The WORLD thinks that vaccines are safe and effective. The WORLD knows that man made climate change is real and dangerous.

There's you, Joe Rogan, Tim Pool, and all your other buddies, all insulated in your Fox News ecosystem. And then there's the WORLD.

So keep going on about who's more popular and who's got the best podcast. You're still losing the popular vote, you're still getting your ass handed to you on this forum, and across the globe REALITY is still getting the best ratings.

  13. by Indy! on June 7, 2025 3:26 pm

As I tell my Dad when he's watching Fox. He's not watching the news - he's watching a news filter. They filter out the things they don't want their minions to know or understand.

And yes, CNN and MSNBC do the same thing. They are trying to appeal to their audiences. The reason CNN and MSNBC are not as successful as Fox is obvious... the audience they are aiming for - the Democrats - are better educated, have higher IQs and understand there are far better places to get their news. If I want to know crime statistics - I don't go to Fox or CNN - I go to the organization that is in charge of keeping track of crime statistics. Everybody has a website. You don't need Megyn's filter or Rogan's filter - in fact that's the LAST thing you want... OPINIONS interfering with FACTS.

  14. by oldedude on June 7, 2025 8:09 pm
That's exactly what they're trying to find out. But none of the staff of pedojoe or pedodr will answer the subpoenas. So blame the libtards for that.

  15. by Indy! on June 7, 2025 8:32 pm

Maybe the libtards are tired of our government spending way too much time "investigating" irrelevant people who are no longer in office? What next - Hillary's emails again? You guys never finished her off.

  16. by Curt_Anderson on July 9, 2025 2:42 pm
My comment #1 above was an easy prediction.

(POLITICO)“On the advice of his legal counsel, Dr. O’Connor refused to answer questions that invaded the well-established legal privilege that protects confidential matters between physicians and their patients,” the statement read. “His assertion of his right under the Fifth Amendment to decline to answer questions, also on the advice of his lawyers, was made necessary by the unique circumstances of this deposition.

The statement also cited President Donald Trump’s own invocation of his Fifth Amendment right before his deposition with New York State Attorney General Letitia James, quoting Trump’s suggestion that only “an absolute fool” would refuse to take the Fifth.

The gullible MAGA rubes have been fooled again by Comer and his congressional colleagues.

  17. by Indy! on July 9, 2025 4:00 pm

Getting back to new media - that's for even dumber people than Fox or CNN. Why? Because new media has no guardrails. They have no reason to tell the truth of any particular story because they have no editors, legal departments or (most of the time) connection to their advertisers. So they can say - or let their guests say - whatever they feel like and pretend it's valid without any fact checking or sourced material that legitimate media requires. And people like Megyn Facelift, Bill O'Really and Glen Beck are not vlogging on their own because they want to - they're doing it because they have been banished from legitimate media outlets for doing something so out of bounds no other legitimate media outlets thiink it's a good idea to put them back on the air (print, web, whatever).

  18. by HatetheSwamp on July 9, 2025 4:05 pm

    Curt,

Re: #16... and, I love posting this, BUT CURT, BUT CURT, HIPAA AIN'T ABSOLUTE.

In the end, the doc's best bet is the Fifth Amendment.

  19. by HatetheSwamp on July 9, 2025 4:12 pm

    From AI:

"HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) has limitations in its scope and application. While it primarily protects Protected Health Information (PHI) held by covered entities, it doesn't cover all entities that handle health-related data, and there are exceptions to its privacy rules. Understanding these limitations is crucial for both individuals and organizations."

The article continues, "It also allows for disclosures for public health purposes, law enforcement, judicial and administrative proceedings, and research, under specific circumstances.:

    Bingo!

  20. by Curt_Anderson on July 9, 2025 7:35 pm
    HtS,
Apparently none of those exceptions to doctor patient confidentiality protections apply.

Rep. James Comer with his investigative committees are the congressional version of Inspector Clouseau. But Comer's audience imagines him to be a Sherlock Holmes.

  21. by oldedude on July 9, 2025 7:40 pm
If the doc would have applied HIPA, he had a legal leg to stand on. He chose the 5th, which according to curt during hearings against trumpster, were/are an abomination of our justice system and they were hiding something. "now" he supports it. What a two faced little nazi.

  22. by oldedude on July 9, 2025 7:40 pm
    sorry hipaa.

  23. by Curt_Anderson on July 9, 2025 7:59 pm
    OD,
The doctor invoked both HIPAA and the Fifth Amendment. I have always supported the Fifth as I do the other amendments. I have chided Trump for his use of it after famously claiming "only guilty people" take the Fifth.

  24. by HatetheSwamp on July 10, 2025 3:31 am

According to my Legal Goobers, you are wrong. But, I'm certain that, if you are wrong, it's from your best Good German instincts.

  25. by HatetheSwamp on July 10, 2025 4:07 am

    Curt,

Here's Comer with Jesse Watters on next steps.

The good doctor took the Fifth on questions that had nuthin to do with doctor patient privilege. There's lot of the most important issues that have nuthin to do, at all, with doctor patient privilege.

What I see is a huuuuuuge scandal that's going to culminate with serious charges relating to the use of the autopen. This'll take time, enough time to be in the minds of moderate and independent common sense voters for the 026 midterms.

This strikes ole pb as Watergate-esque.

Comer seems to be laying groundwork. Baha.

    Two observations.

    1. It may seem to you that Comer accomplished nuthin as far as the Biden Crime Family is concerned, but, remember, Hunter pled guilty in two criminal trials and your Doddering Old Fool broke his promise about pardoning him.
    2. The GOPs own the FBI and DOJ this time around.

But, please. Keep a good Good German thought.

    Curt,

For a GOP inside take on Comer and what he's doing at the moment, go to 49:30 and follow for 3-4 minutes.

My experience with these guys is that they reeeeeeeally know their stuff.

"According to my Legal Goobers, you are wrong." ---HtS

So unless anything I wrote above is proven wrong and contrary to the facts, I am more knowledgeable than your Fox News legal pundits. Revisit this thread if you find out I was in error.

  28. by Indy! on July 10, 2025 7:54 am
Yes, yes… very “watergate-esque”. Only one real difference I can see and that is everyone was interested in Watergate and nobody is interested in this latest GOP witch hunt. 🤔

  29. by HatetheSwamp on July 10, 2025 8:02 am

"So unless anything I wrote above is proven wrong and contrary to the facts, I am more knowledgeable than your Fox News legal pundits. Revisit this thread if you find out I was in error."

Be patient, Curt. I'm beyond confident that, by November 3, 026, you'll be demonstrated to very very tragically wrong, in a Good German sort of way.

You can guffaw over Comer to your heart's delight, but...

    ... Hunter got busted, and...

... much more importantly, the GOPs own DC today.

  30. by Curt_Anderson on July 10, 2025 8:07 am
"...culminate with serious charges relating to the use of the autopen." ---HtS

It never ceases to amaze me how gullible Trump supporters like HtS are. HtS eagerly anticipating convictions with every Republican investigative committee, is like Charlie Brown when Lucy holds the football.

Donald Trump used autopen during his first administration and he is using it during this administration. It is a certainty that fact will not go unnoticed by congressional Democrats.

  31. by Curt_Anderson on July 10, 2025 8:12 am
"Be patient, Curt. I'm beyond confident that, by November 3, 026, you'll be demonstrated to very very tragically wrong..."

Until such time, I am happy to be correct. Let me know if anything changes.

  32. by HatetheSwamp on July 10, 2025 8:17 am

    Curt,

You should seek non Holy Trinity sources of information on what the GOPs are doing.

The GOP insiders at RUTHLESS, said this morning that the autopen thing makes Watergate seem like child's play. They are insiders. They're not Jesse Watters or Greg Gutfeld.

You lightheartedly Good Germaned your way through the 024 campaign. We know how that turned out. It matters who runs House and Senate Committees and who Trump put in charge of the FBI and CIA and DOJ, keehee ha.

Ole pb thinks that this'll be fun!
