The president's temper flared when a White House reporter shared the unflattering nickname that Wall Street has started using for his tariff plan

President Donald Trump snapped at a reporter during a live press conference on Wednesday, May 28.

The reporter asked if he had a response to some Wall Street analysts dubbing his tariff plan "TACO trade," which stands for "Trump Always Chickens Out."

"Don't ever say what you said," the president fired back. "That's a nasty question."

At the briefing Wednesday, CNBC White House correspondent Megan Casella asked, “Mr. President, Wall Street analysts have coined a new term called the ‘TACO trade.’ They’re saying ‘Trump always chickens out’ on your tariff threats. And that’s why markets are higher this week. What’s your response to that?”

“I ‘chicken out’? I’ve never heard that. You mean because I reduced [tariffs on] China from 145% that I set, down to 100 and then down to another number?” Trump said at the briefing. Currently, the Trump administration’s tariff on China is set at 30%.

Trump: “I ‘chicken out’? I’ve never heard that."

He never heard that because Fox never reports negative stuff about their master. When I was up at Dad's I got so tired of Fox and their lies, one night I sat there with him and debunked every story off the top of my head. Anytime Dad called me on it - I googled the appropriate government organization or media outlet that told the whole story. Drove him crazy. I felt a little bad, but not too bad because watching Fox drives me crazy. Well technically... it drives everyone crazy (See: OD and Brown Shorts).

Any time I try that with my Trump -loving friends, they instantly question my source. "Oh yeah, where'd you get THAT from? EM ESS EN BEE SEE???? SEEE ENNN ENNN?" I remind them that they've spent 20 years watching a network that has admitted under oath that they are an entertainment organization, not a news source, and never once did they question the source. But the instant we step outside of that Fox ecosystem, they start questioning EVERYTHING.

You'll be shocked to learn that this strategy doesn't get me anywhere.

Doesn't get me anywhere after the momentary pause as he digests reality. Everytime I'm there he repeats to the lie that MSNBC, CNN and the broadcast networks "never have Republicans on their shows! Fox ALWAYS has Democrats!" (If you count Harold Ford as a Democrat). Then I go down the list... Joe Scarborough was a GOP House Rep, former GOP Nat'l Chairman Michael Steele has his own show on MSNBC, Nicole Wallace was a former Fox commentator - she has her show... etc, etc...
