Getting back to the Marshall Plan; the European nations that were beneficiaries of the plan are low on the list of nations importing goods into America. So how is it relevant?
I agree, but he's really wrong because Japan is the leading holder of our debt. THAT makes a difference.
And it's actually good that he sees China as a "threat" which is odd for him. "indy" still doesn't. Again, it's still thinking in the 1930's.
The thing "americans" don't and ugly "americans" will never understand is that different cultures think in "generations." "Americans" think in seconds, minutes. They're instant gratifiers. Most other cultures are not. My "request" is that "amreicans" actually have the ability to think long term. We're having our asses kicked every time we do this. The left especially, doesn't understand long-term goals. They're short-term people. The end of their clit is as long as they consider a question.
Of course, this presents a problem of "my greatgreatgreatgreat... grandfather was offended by you're ...... so I hate you. That's bullshit. And yet, the left will still hold (see above) grandfathers "grandchildren" for the ... grandfather's sins. If you doubt that, read curt's responses to the south and the confederacy. That is a bunch of crap that should have been forgotten two generations ago. The "south" surely has. It's the "north/ Central states you have to worry about. And what about "ashland" OR? They were one of the most racist cities in the US up until past the 1960's. So if we're using leftist ideology, that's correct, and curt is (by definition) a racist.

My point in mentioning the Marshall Plan was that, from that time on, the US adopted a generalized policy that we'd allow ourselves to be taken advantage of for the benefit of struggling nations.
After all these years, Trump is attacking that mindset.
