Trump Never Wanted to Drain the Swamp, He Wanted to Rule It
(National Review)As you may know, the president of the United States has announced that he is getting a very special gift from a very strange source: The oil-rich Gulf micro-state of Qatar reportedly is looking to donate a half-billion-dollar Boeing 747-8 to Donald Trump, for use as a replacement for Air Force One. (Trump considers the current AF1 to be “too old” and thus beneath his dignity, although it is in no way unsafe.)

Are you worried about the idea of the president flying around in a plane donated to America by a nation known both for its massive Washington “influence operation” and its friendliness with major terrorist groups in the Middle East? Then fear not, for this gift is only “temporary” and shall remain unsullied by future, less worthy presidents: Trump, according to reports, will retire it from federal service and transfer ownership to himself, under the nominal institutional control of his presidential library. “Only a stupid person” would refuse such a gift, he says. So what’s your problem, huh? You’re not stupid, are you?

Qatar might as well just hand the Homeless Hairdo a check for $400M dollars. Brown Shorts, OD and the rest of MAGAtville would be perfectly fine with that too. So why make it so complicated? The have to built the plane, outfit it with whatever special equipment is required, hide all the spy equipment at least somewhat so the idiots in the new adminstration can't find it, ship the plane to the US... why bother with all that extra work? Just write him a check - or better yet, hand him a suitcase full of gold bars. Who would argue with someone that wanted to give them $400M cash? Only an idiot.

    Just think!

If Dem voters hadn't'a ignerntly cast 13,000,000 Primary votes for a "dithering and diminished" "feckless dementia-ridden" Doddering Old Fool and, then, after he boasted that his crew "finally beat Medicare," walked lockstep with the smoke-filled room's conspiracy to foist Cackles Mckneepads on voters, we probably wouldn't have OrangeTurdBad in the White House and GOPs running Congress... and the Supreme Court.

Ole pb's not weeping for you. In fact, baha baha bahahahahahahahahahaha, ha!

I highly doubt 13M Dems voted for Trump.

Remember when James Comer and other Republicans were insinuating that the Biden was party to an unholy quid pro quo? In other words Biden supposedly did or would do something for in exchange for an emolument.

There is nothing subtle about Trump's willingness to accept bribes. Trump literally says to Mohammed bin Salman (aka Mr. Bone Saw), "oh what I'd do for the Crown Prince". See video above.

"Remember when James Comer and other Republicans were insinuating that the Biden was party to an unholy quid pro quo?"

    I do.

Of course, all that Biden graft was under the table and never admitted to, although Hunter was convicted of fiddling with taxes, so we know that Comer was on to sumpthin.

I think that Trump is despicable but, as far as ole pb's been able to tell, nuthin about this is being hidden...

... and, nuthin is going to Trump personally.

This appears to be anti-Swamp to me.

Ole pb's gotta say, he's laughing at you lot over this.

Making underhanded deals with Syria is "anti-swamp" to the swampers.

  8. by HatetheSwamp on May 16, 2025 11:47 am

    Underhanded?

  9. by Indy! on May 16, 2025 2:19 pm

True. I probably should have categorized it more accurately such as...

    "open bribery"

    or

    "blatant corruption"
