Surprising because one would think if they were recalled it would surely be due them being a fucking eyesore on the road, but nope... they're just outright falling apart creating road hazards as they go.

The genius that is Leon Musk is laid bare again - much like his utter destruction of Twitter...

Tesla is recalling most Cybertrucks due to exterior panel issue

Reuters

Tesla is recalling nearly all Cybertrucks in the United States to fix an exterior panel that could detach during driving, the latest in a series of call-backs for the pickup truck.

The recall covers just over 46,000 vehicles built from November 2023 through February 27 of this year, Tesla said in a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Thursday.

The recall could prove to be a setback for Tesla (TSLA), whose stock has lost about half its value this year as the electric vehicle maker grapples with rising competition, an aging lineup and backlash against CEO Elon Musk’s controversial role overseeing cuts to federal spending in the Trump White House.

The recall addresses the risk that a stainless-steel exterior trim panel can detach from the vehicle, making it a road hazard and boosting the risk of a crash, Tesla said.
Tesla’s service will replace the rail panel assembly with a new one that meets durability testing requirements, the automaker said.

>SNIP<

Tesla shares, initially boosted post-election due to Musk’s relationship with US President Donald Trump, have fallen nearly 42% this year. 😂 😂 😂 😂

    This headline made me laugh...
Farewell to the ‘vehicle of the future’ – Tesla’s Cybertruck frunk crashes, activates ‘limp mode’ and ends up being towed away to the ridicule of 28 children in Ohio

this is something the libtards LOVED! Then they didn't. THEN THEY DID! Then they didn't.

You need to decide what the fuck you support. You wonder why people HATE YOU? This is a prime motivation. You're all fucked up! You have no platform, no true planks. PEOPLE HATE YOU for this. YOU JUST HATE. YOU'RE NEVER "FOR" ANYTHING.

They are so gawd awful ugly too. I can see them impressing a bunch of little kids who know nothing about cars and think it looks like a Transformer or something - but what adult would actually want to drive a truck that looks like that?

In response to OD, I have never heard anyone say they were in favor of the Cybertruck. The only thing I've ever heard from people is outright ridicule - I'm guessing that's from both parties although I didn't bother to ask since I'm not a Fox clone who bases everything on what party a person belongs to.

"Then they didn't. THEN THEY DID! Then they didn't." ---OD

I suspect that more Democrats than Republican bought Tesla cars. Tesla cars look OK. I like the idea of electric vehicles, although now I'd not by car from Musk.

The Cybertrucks are a different story. When I first saw one I thought they were hideous. They shout out that the driver is compensating for some shortcoming. They are not work trucks. I have never seen them doing anything thing useful like like hauling lumber.

Btw, I think self-driving cars are a terrible idea. Who wants to be a passive passenger in their own car? I'd feel like a driver's ed instructor ready to grab the wheel or hit the brake.

My new car has the radar cruise control that automatically slows down when you get a certain distance from the car in front of you. Luckily you can turn it on and off because when it's on, it pretty much defeats the purpose of cruise control. When I drove up to dad's I tried it out - I drive the top speed everyone else is driving, so when you come up on someone slow - it automatically drops your speed which allows people in the lane next to you to pass and block you in behind the slow car. So instead of making time - you get caught in the traffic you were trying to avoid.

The Cybertruck is rated well overall. It compares with other EV trucks but is a bit pricier. The design puts many off because it is so different.

Wait until you can get a Chinese. They are far ahead in EVs.

Cybertruck might be rated well, but if it's falling apart on the road you should probably look elsewhere. And there is no cure for ugly.
