Indy would like to offer his sincerest best wishes to all the mothers out there and on the board here. I had a pretty funny sarcastic remark to add here - but I will restrain myself on this holiest of faux "holidays" created by corporate capitalism to sell more greeting cards, flowers and cheap throwaway trinkets your mothers do not need taking up space in their homes. 🙂

Indy don't restrain your sarcasm. Even Anna Jarvis, the founder of Mother's Day in the United States, later opposed the holiday's commercialization and actively campaigned against it.

I was just going to note that OD is a real mother sometimes, and say happy Mother's Day to him. But... it would have been a wasted gesture on my part. He would have just turned it around and pretended like I was attacking him again. 😌

curt- it's really good to know and understand you support trolls. I never thought you would allow yourself and your site to stoop to that level. But it makes it easier for me... Somewhat interesting Shaft factoid... The opening scene in the first episode of the TV series Starsky and Hutch was filmed to simulate the opening scene of the original Shaft movie. It was an homage towards director Gordon Parks' blaxploitation work and a signal that the series was going to (try to) be different than traditional TV cop shows of the past.
