You might remember when Republicans were aghast and outraged that Hunter Biden might have capitalized on his family name. Where are they now?

Donald Trump Jr. co-founds new private members club, Executive Branch, with a $500,000 fee
A new private membership club in Washington, D.C., co-founded by Donald Trump Jr. is charging a $500,000 membership fee — and there’s already a waiting list.

The club, called Executive Branch, held a launch party on Saturday night that included at least a half dozen members of President Donald Trump’s administration as well as wealthy CEOs, tech founders and policy experts.

Executive Branch will open sometime in the next month or so at a location in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C.

[POLITICO] citing “people familiar with the plans,” says the group is aiming to create “the highest-end private club that Washington has ever had,” catering to business and tech moguls hoping to cosy up to the Trump administration.

Trump's also running a meme coin business out of the White House, again, just as our Founders wanted .

    Splain.

We know what laws Hunter was convicted of breaking. What laws does this break?

What Hunter did, he tried to keep other people knowing about, but do you note your use of the word, "blatantly?" Ironic, eh?

Also, can you say, deranged TrumpHate? See, I knew you could. Bahaha.

  4. by Ponderer on May 3, 2025 11:49 am

Well there's that pesky Imoluments Clause, which I guess you forgot about.

  5. by Curt_Anderson on May 3, 2025 12:07 pm
"What laws does this break?" -HtS

Maybe none. Maybe bribery. Maybe illegal unregistered lobbying of the president. Maybe emolument violations.

  6. by oldedude on May 3, 2025 1:31 pm
Although it sounds like a lot of money to us, there are folks in DC, NY, LA, etc, where this is nothing more than a golf membership, with a few hundred added for green fees, and an overpriced restaurant. Annual green fees at the US Air Force Academy are $2,100/year if that's an indicator. And I doubt if it is near as nice as trumpster has. Obviously, this is way out of my reach also.

Well there's that pesky Imoluments Clause, which I guess you forgot about.
So you're saying the money he makes (or doesn't) is a "gift" right? That's what it says in the emolument's clause. You mean like the diamond the Chinese gave pedojr when daddy took him over there on Air Force 2?

IF what you say is true, than presidents cannot have any money in the stock market. And I know this is a BFD for TPSers, but like Presidents John F. Kennedy and Herbert Hoover, trumpster donates all his presidential salary to
non-profits. When Trump announced his decision to forgo a salary, critics expressed doubt because presidents are required to be compensated for their work. To get around this, Trump takes $1 each year from his paychecks.

Again, if you have to lie a create a fantasy about what he's doing, you might have a psychosis. HERE'S YOUR SIGN.

  7. by Indy! on May 3, 2025 1:37 pm

    OD is so precious...

$2,100 membership fees for the Air Force golf club. Anybody with a minimum wage job could afford that.

And Trump giving up his measly presidential salary so he can make billions selling worthless meme coins

It's no wonder you had to go into the military, OD - you have no idea how business works.

BTW, I posted that same story about a week back and only Brown Shorts commented on it (in much the same way he did here... "No big deal! So they're bribing the president? Who cares?" 🙄)

  8. by oldedude on May 3, 2025 7:32 pm
You're nothing but an elitist prick.

That money "that anyone can make" is the pay for a Colonel through all the general ranks if that tells you how much we were paid. And I said that, and you can't comprehend any written material. I got it though. Epically "FAILED" "ARTIST"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Gang,

    Back to the original post.

This is why pb is HatetheSwamp. C'mon in. The water's nice... Just imagine what might happen if people like po focused their hate on our dysfunctional and corrupt political culture!!!!! Oy freakin friggin EFFINvey!

I doubt the club is a violation of the Emoluments Clause. Susie Wiles is too clever for that. But, it is run-of-the-mill Swamp, which pb Hates.

But you members of the progressive Swampcult only mind when Trump does it.

Question: Without looking, who's Susie Wiles? Who's her father?

  10. by meagain on May 4, 2025 8:02 am
Does this give access to Trump? It does not read as though it does. Or is it just a lobby group to facilitate access to government functionaries, or to Members. If it is access to Trump, then the Emoluments Clause might come into play if any members of the club are non Americans.

  11. by Indy! on May 4, 2025 9:48 am

How do all those generals end up rich, OD? Couldn't possibly have anything to do with the military refusing to audit themselves or the famouse $300 hammers, could it?

Again... you're a child in man's world when it comes to the real world and how "business" operates.

  12. by oldedude on May 4, 2025 1:06 pm
You may be right. I "only" have a Master's in Business Management. What's your's again? An "art" "degree" you got out of a comic book that you're an epic failure at?

  13. by Pythagorus on May 4, 2025 5:46 pm

I just read this conversation. If running a meme coin business out of the White House doesn't qualify as a violation of the emoluments clause, then what would qualify?

  14. by Curt_Anderson on May 4, 2025 6:21 pm
"I just read this conversation. If running a meme coin business out of the White House doesn't qualify as a violation of the emoluments clause, then what would qualify?" --Pythagorus

Maybe turning the front of the White House into a car dealership. Never mind, Trump has already done that. Maybe it would be considered an emoluments violation if Trump had a fan-driven inflatable dancing tube man on the White House lawn.

  15. by oldedude on May 4, 2025 7:46 pm
So a "maybe" with trumpster is a criminal offense, and running a business is a criminal offense even though you can't state the law unless you use the term "maybe" or "if... then." You're nothing better than a bullshit dealer.

The Emoluments Clause in the U.S. Constitution:
Prohibits federal officeholders from receiving gifts, payments, or other things of value from foreign states or their rulers.
Serves as a safeguard against foreign influence on American governance.

Requires congressional consent for any such benefits.

If you're talking campaign money, This ain't it. They have to show the money was used illegally for the campaign. HINT: He's not campaigning anymore" And even with the money, if he's fined anything at all, he can go directly to AOCs campaign funds which are directly to a couple of millions, that were "adjusted" and "paid for" and they were forgotten.

OR he can make the comparison to pedojr and the known diamond from China. AND if they can get to that, they're backdooring the pedojoe crime family. And even if they don't charge anyone. They can lay it out to the American public and change your HISstory, from a great person, to a low-life crime family comparable to Chicago in the 1920's.

A week or so back your "masters" was in terrorism or some other issue we were discussing. I get the feeling at the army skool they hand out "masters degrees" in every box of Cracker Jacks.

You have no clue how business works.

  17. by oldedude on May 4, 2025 9:08 pm
naah.... It's just my master's in organizational management.
And what you have a "comic book design" from a "Comic book" that you explicitly FAILED AT. Great job at feedint cheap funding to a non certified school.

  18. by oldedude on May 4, 2025 9:11 pm
I've always claimed I had a double Masters. One in Intel, and one in business management. FROM AN ACTUAL ACCREDETED SCHOOL. Not from a comic book cover as and "art" "degree." This you were an epic failure at.

  19. by Pythagorus on May 5, 2025 10:56 am

I asked for an example of something that would qualify as a violation of the emoluments clauses. Curt answered in a joking way and olde dude didn't provide an example, so I guess he's okay with violating the constitution.

Interestingly Trump said the other day that he doesn't know if violating the constitution is wrong. I think it's stunning that our president of all people gave an answer like that.

I think that the main purpose of the emoluments clauses is to prevent conflicts of interest. Seems to me that running any business out of the White House could create the kinds of conflicts of interest the writers of the emoluments clauses sought to prevent.

Interestingly Trump said the other day that he doesn't know if violating the constitution is wrong.

I'm not aware of that. Can you provide a link?

  21. by Indy! on May 5, 2025 11:32 am

I get the feeliing if you have any degrees at all you found them in a box of Cracker Jacks. You can't spell. You don't understand empirical evidence or Constitutional law. You've never owned a business (unlike me - feeding myself without the help of Uncle Sam my entire life... unlike YOU). So what exactly did you learn in your (allegedly) "accredited" school? Besides rape trees?

  22. by oldedude on May 5, 2025 7:11 pm
I've "owned" two 501(3)(c). I got the Masters in Organizational management first, and Global Intelligence (Terrorism) later. And yes every piece of MY education was actually in accredited schools. You don't have enough knowledge of the language to play with it. To know (or understand) the difference between you "DIMS" vs. DEMS. I make it very clear those are not spelling errors. They're things you hate because you can't understand them. Thusly your degree off of the back cover of a "comic book" "art" "school." And every time you mention it, I get to mock your dullness. That's why I've started putting in definitions. Not for curt, meagain, or donna. I put them there because of the dull witted. I also get to play with meagain (sometimes, it's very temperamental explosives) because I actually get to play with English vs "american."

  23. by Indy! on May 5, 2025 8:15 pm
I’ve literally been paid to write articles for publications, OD. Even in your dreams and wildest fantasies you and your kolledge of knowledge army “schools” can’t carry my dirty jockstrap.
