Donald Trump·s Latest Midnight Musing Is A Sad Lesson In Deep Denial
Story by Ron Dicker
President Donald Trump wasn't sleeping on his dismal approval ratings in a near-midnight Truth Social sesh.
''The Polls from the Fake News are, like the News itself, FAKE! We are doing GREAT, better than ever before," he wrote.
The president's denial would appear to be deep.
Polls from outlets ranging from conservative Fox News to The Washington Post show Trump underwater in terms of support from Americans during his chaotic first 100 days.
The Washington Post survey put his approval rating at 39%, with the outlet noting that's lower than any other past president in their first or second term at the 100-day point. Trump's numbers have GOP pundits and a certain CNN data analyst sounding the alarm for him. He's getting F's in an NPR poll, too, due largely to his handling of the economy and his tariff trade war.
Earlier on Monday, Trump accused the pollsters, including those with Fox News, of being frauds who suffer from "Trump Derangement Syndrome." He wrote they should be investigated for election fraud. He also echoed his divisive claim that news outlets are the "ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE."
Of course - he gets his talking points (and his marching orders) from the guy he voted for THREE TIMES in the last decade - the orange ass monkey.
