Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield on Wednesday filed a federal lawsuit that seeks to overturn President Donald Trump’s new tariffs.

Eleven other states have joined the lawsuit, which broadly argues that Congress, not the president, has the power to set tariffs.

Rayfield told reporters Wednesday the president’s trade policy feels “more like the whims of an angsty teenager than it does a well-reasoned, thought out economic policy.” He described the recent tariff announcements as “just plain unlawful.”

May the Force be with them.

The poor Supreme Court. Despite the fact that their Lawfare handed DC to the GOPs, Dems seem not to know what else to do. From the 60s into the 010s Dems got the courts to foist their political agenda on the public.

In 024, they tried a courts-led insurrection to block Tangerine from the Oval Office. Now, this.

"Of the people, by the people and for the people!"

    Democracy, baby!

Funny how the Constitutional "experts" on the board don't understand the judiciary is part of the American government whether they like it or not.

They don't understand a great deal about a great deal of things, Indy!.

But you gotta hand it to them. They never let their blithering pig-ignorance ever stop them.

"Funny how the Constitutional "experts" on the board don't understand the judiciary is part of the American government whether they like it or not."

po's the self-proclaimed constitutional expert on SS. Actually, pb's grooving on the Dem lawfare. It exploded in the faces of the Day Drinker and the whole Dem Party in 024, and, very likely, will again in 026.

As a political ploy, while some of these cases are legitimate challenges to Trump overstepping his Executive authority, many are not. Ole pb suspects that voters will punish Dems, again, for the egregious overuse of the courts, as they did in the last election.

But, apparently, they can't help themselves.

Learn about the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the U.S. government.

Here's some help about the branches of government. You might want to look it up. Who knows! you might catch up on your 6th grade civics test!

    Back to Curt's topic.

    From 40,000 feet.

What we have in 025, is two branches of government overreaching their constitutional mandates:

The Judiciary, attempting to neutralize the will of the people, based on election results, and,...

The Executive, attempting to pretend that a modest mandate was what voters handed to LBJ and the Dems 60 years ago.

pb's allow about the Constitution. And, he trusts it. But, individuals can be evil and power-hungry.

    These ain't boring times.

That's, "pb's all about the Constitution." Auto-correct is a bummer.
