    We're watching the country crumble under the presidency of "that feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap" who sent border patrol agents on horseback to the southern border to whip black refugees, and you can still imagine that Trump could be worse.

    That's quite an imagination you have...

    ...and that's why I can't effin wait for a Trump candidacy.

    Best case for me?, Trump runs, you poop your pants several times a day for months, then Nicki Haley takes the GOP nomination and gets 396 Electoral College votes in 024.

    Think? No. However, if Trump gets into enough legal trouble, which is unlikely, enough non Trump GOPs could bolt to lose him the nomination. Then another GOP could win the nomination. Nikki's be better than most.

    Bar really creative Dem cheating, I think it's a done deal that the GOP will win in 024.

    The hardest part for Trump may be getting the nomination.

    You hadn't posted your last response when I posted that.

    The Republican nominee is going to need the votes from pretty nearly all of those Trumpers to legitimately win the next election. If Trump isn't the nominee, I see a sizable chunk of his followers not voting in the next general election. For most Trump voters, there is no replacement. It's a classic personality cult.

    If the Clouseau, Kammy administration continues to mismanage international affairs, immigration, Covid and the economy as disastrously in the next three years as it's done in the first eight months, you will have look long and hard to find an independent who'll vote Dem in 024.
